This little drum kit is perfect. Quality item I would absolutely buy again. Bought this for my 7 -almost 8 year old son. We accompanied the gift with lessons which which I recommend. The only issue was that there were no assembly instructions with the kit. Luckily, we had help from someone with experience otherwise it would have been a nightmare.

It’s overall a pretty decent product. My 10 year daughter just started taking drum lessons, and the set does the trick and she really likes it. My only complaint was the product didn’t come with instructions and I had a very hard time finding it online. I ended up finding a YouTube video showing me how to assemble a different but very similar version.

This is a great beginners drum set. My husband and I had a difficult time assembling due to no instructions provided and not easy to find online. We basically had to go on low res images to figure the parts out. However it is a looker and my son is enjoying it!

Received this on Saturday. Set it up with my 7 year old daughter in about an hour. There were some differences in the product and the video tutorial, but luckily I’ve set drums up before and there really wasn’t much to it.
I was searching for a kit that we could use to generate some excitement for her musical future. She’s been asking for drums for quite a bit, but a full size kit at budget pricing just doesn’t sound right to me. I worked in a music shop for years, and shell packs under $800 bucks just never sound great to my ear. That’s what’s kind of ingenious about this drum kit. Smaller drums mean less production cost. These little Guys sound surprisingly good. We spent a good amount of time tuning, and the overall sound of the kit is remarkable. I will say, the bottom hi hat almost immediately flipped inside out, so the same shape as the top hat. We’re replacing those soon, but I could see that being a big disappointment for someone. The crash also split in the first two hours of playing, so we’re picking out a new one of those too.
Value wise it’s the best starter kit I could imagine for a younger kid. The hardware feels good, and the drums sound great. The cymbals as with all of these inexpensive kits, are just gross.
Great investment. Thanks GearNuts.

I bought this for my 2 year old son to grow into for Christmas. We’ve had the kit for almost a month now and we couldn’t be happier. The quality is surprisingly very good for the price. You might wanna swap out the cymbals but they really aren’t THAT bad considering. I left them on for now because they’re not “not tolerable” like I thought they would be. I jam on these ALL the time myself. Very fun kit to play on. It is NOT a toy. This is definitely a true drum set designed for kids to grow into. You can easily swap some things out and use this kit live for some situations. It’s definitely a quality kit. I personally bought drum gels on amazon for $9. I usually use 1 on each Tom, and sometimes 1 on the snare. They help a LOT with ringing if you like that “dampened thud” sound like me. Kit sounds great even without them though.
Easy to tune, looks, and sounds absolutely great. You will have to assemble each drum of course, but the snare comes pretty much ready out of the box. Everything else is super easy to set up.
Never mind the awful drumming in the video. I am a guitarist, not a drummer! At least you get some idea of what the kit sounds like. Everything is stock except the sticks of course.

This is a great kit that I bought for my son on his 4th bday. He is able to reach all the pedals and finally start to learn how to play and use all his limbs at the same time since he couldn’t reach the pedals on my kit that he’s been banging on since he was 1 year old!
I just recently upgraded the kick and snare batter heads and both were significant improvements. In fact, I was honestly shocked at how good that snare sounded with a Genera HD Dry on there. I’ve seen snares that cost more than this entire kit not sound that good! I’ll look into swapping out tom heads and upgrading cymbals down the road, but this is an overall excellent kit for the money. If you have kids wanting to learn or just need a small portable kit that sounds great, I’d highly recommend this setup.

Bought this for my 8 year old nephew. I was extremely surprised at the quality of this kit. It’s hard to believe you can get an actual drum set for this price. This is not a toy set or a throw away starter kit. It’s definitely something he can grow with. Very happy with this purchase as is my nephew!

I bought this kit for my son for Christmas. I chose the wine color and it’s stunning! Very well made and definitely worth the money. And FYI my kit did come with information for a website for assembly instructions!
