This is a great beginner set. The cymbals are not good quality. But those can be replaced.
The instructions on putting together is a little lacking. Yes I would recommend this set.

This is a decent little drum set. I know it says for 4-10 year olds but I had a small space I wanted to fit these drums into that a full size kit just wouldn’t have fit in. I’m 6″2, and this thing fits me just fine. Out of the box everything sounds decent. I upgraded the cymbals with a cymbal pack and added a 20″ ride and a 16″ crash. Next I’m looking at getting new drum heads, not that the original heads are terrible but they could definitely be better.

This is seriously the world’s smallest drum set. The reviews are very deceiving. Super disappointed and the customer service absolutely sucks. The cost for shipping to return them is the exact same amount of the drums!! They do not provide shipping labels. Take your money elsewhere I promise you won’t regret it.

I’ve been playing/teaching drums for 25 years. Different bands, different styles, many different drum kits over the years. I was looking for a small but good quality kit for my nephew and niece to start on and I came across this one, and I have to say the sound you get out of this pocket kit is incredible. Easy to assemble, and the kids were playing within an hour of us opening the box. The quality for the price cannot be beat. There is no better starter kit for young drummers. The kit is getting a lot of use by the kids (and parents/aunts/uncles) and their friends. Look no further for the right kit to get the rhythm going in your music room.

This is my first acoustic kit, and I’ve had it for a couple months now. While there’s nothing else like it for the price, it is expectedly flawed. The cymbals and hi-hat need to be replaced, because they comparatively sound awful. Additionally, the hi-hit turns inside out after repeated playing, and the high-hat clutch constantly comes loose. These things are to be expected from a kit this cheap, however. Would recommend!

I bought this for my son in 2019. I have been playing myself for 20 years and have owned a variety of different kits through out those years. My son has loved this set! As of recent I have had to play in some tight spots while gigging, I had a thought to replace the stock heads, add some better hardware and tune it up a bit. Hands down a great kit. From skilled to beginner, this set up will not let you down.

Let me start by saying I returned this drumset BUT it wasn’t because of the drumset, it was because of my neighbour… I was hoping that since the drums were smaller it would be more quiet, but it was still pretty loud (not as loud as a full kit, but loud nonetheless).
It was heartbreaking to return this kit because it was an incredible value. The cymbals are passible, but the drums are more than worth the price of admission. The floor Tom was a special little drum, sounded amazing even with the stock skin. If anyone is looking for a minimalist set up, this is the kit to get (even for an adult). I don’t think it can withstand very heavy playing, but it didn’t seem fragile to me.
It’ll be the best 300-400 bucks you’ll spend on a drum kit.
