I picked this pressure cooker because it lis like the one my mom used when I was growing up in France many years ago. I saw many meals prepared in that pressure cooker and it lasted for many many years. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but i didn’t want them anyway because most of the time they end up breaking or just unnecessary. I wanted simple, easy and safe to use. I am definitely so happy with this pressure cooker. It is so sturdy, simple and it heats the food so fast. It is just what I wanted. so thank you for this quality product, it definitely is made with quality materials and very well made.

The performance of the product is first rate. I pressure-fried chicken that would have impressed the Colonel. The downside is in the shipping. The first one arrived with a broken handle. Warily, I didn’t ship it back until the replacement arrived. Guess what? Another broken handle. I just removed the remaining unbroken handle and used it on the first unit. Other reviewers have also mentioned broken handles. One suggestion for users of this pressure cooker is to make sure that the lid is properly seated before using. It is very easy to lock down a misaligned lid, causing the unit to fail to come up to pressure.

This is my second purchase of this brand for different pressure cooker sizes. The big one I often use for canning. But sometimes I need to cook a small batch of beans or stews and i found the big one quite bulky for the little amount so i got this one. Happy! (Steam release during cooking process is normal, not faulty at all!)

We are very happy with item which we use to make soup mainly. Was very well packed and arrived in a reasonable time frame. our old unit of over 30 years is also back in use with new gasket. So can now do 2 batches at a time, Thank you Magefesa for such good production and Amazon for the marketing.

I love design. It’s a bit retro and very culinary looking. It doesn’t achieve as high of pressure as many other cookers, but it still cooks dried great northern beans, assuming they are fresh, in about 10-15 minutes for me. I love the screw-on clamp. It’s actually fun to use. As others have mentioned, it must be turned down very tightly to avoid leakage of steam around the rim. It takes some practice using it. An electronic instant cooker may be easier and more consistent, but this feels more like you’re actually cooking with pressure.

I recently purchased a “brand new” MAGEFESA pressure cooker from Amazon, and I am utterly disgusted by the condition it arrived in. The product was clearly used and in an absolutely filthy state – covered in grime, food residue, and other unidentifiable substances. It did not even seal properly, rendering the pressure cooker completely useless.
When I contacted MAGEFESA about this unacceptable situation, I was met with complete indifference and a complete lack of customer support. The representative I spoke to effectively told me that the company has no control over the condition their products arrive in when sold through Amazon. This is an absolutely appalling response and demonstrates a complete disregard for their customers.
I was also informed me that the ONLY person who handles Magefesa USA is Philip… who is in Spain! Good luck getting a hold of him, let alone getting any real help. They said I could email him, which I did but never even got a reply. I emailed him three times over 9 days, which was over 3 weeks ago, crickets!
Overall, this has been an absolutely dreadful experience. I would strongly caution anyone against purchasing any MAGEFESA products, as the quality and customer support appear to be completely unacceptable. Save yourself the hassle and find a more reputable brand that actually stands behind their products. Avoid MAGEFESA at all costs! You’ve been warned!

This is a very nice explosion proof pressure cooker made in Spain. The lid secures easily and assures its safety. It cleans easily and the stainless steel has a nicely polished body. It cooks well on my glass topped stove and also with gas in my camper. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.

One of the best made pressure cookers you can get. Exceptionally well built. Good pressure and safety valve. Locks tight. Easy grip handles. We use it to pressure fry chicken wings and it does the job very well.

Apologies, there was something stuck under the lid which prevented it from shutting the whole way. Once I was able to remove that piece, it worked as designed. I have to add that you have to tighten the lid to the maximum possible limit to prevent any spillage/pressure loss.
Adjusting the stars accordingly. Overall, it is a sturdy piece of equipment.
