McGard wheel lugs and locks have always been my choice for all my aftermarket wheels; particularly their spline tuner lugs and locks. Surprisingly, my most recent set of aftermarket forged wheels had narrower wheel lug holes so their spline tuner lugs didn’t fit because McGard adds an additional, wider lip. I had to opt for Gorilla spline lugs which looks like every other generic wheel lug. After doing some online browsing, I noticed these M14-1.5 wheel locks didn’t have that extra, wider lip and figured it would work. Got them and sure enough, perfect fit and glad knowing I’ve got Mcgard wheel locks back on my wheels.

Los compré de emergencia para una Ford Expedition y le quedaron geniales. Cabe mencionar que no son los mejores, pero son de buena calidad, los recomiendo bastante.

Basically the ‘industry std’ for locking lug nuts. Value? they’re VERY well made, but a bit spendy for 4 lugnuts. Ease of install? you’ll probably have more issue spinning off the old nuts some gorilla installed without a torque wrench than anything else. These will spin right on, the lock key slots in easily and you can torque them into place simply. Even the not-so-technically-inclined should be able to install these (anyone driving a car should already know how to change a flat – so you SHOULD be able to do this yourself). As for Security – in todays world nothing is going to stop the determined thief, but these will make the task significantly harder to get away with – so between their quality construction and the ‘hassle factor’ to try and circumvent more likely than not, any would-be thief may just look for an easier target and leave you alone. Dont have any on your rims? get these. they’re well made, fit weil, easy to install – and WAY cheaper than if you buy them from the dealer – who most often is installing these vary same locking lugs for 4x the price.

Application: 2015 Chevy Silverado 17″ OEM 6 lug Wheel GM #23173537, Lug Thread Size: M14 x 1.5
McGard 24210 lock nuts are 1.9″ long, which is also what is specified if you try to buy lock nuts from GM dealer. The problem is that 1.9″ stick out further than the standard lug nuts which I measured to be 1.79″. Doesn’t sound like much? Believe me they look terrible on the wheel. I do not blame McGard because I’m sure they are simply using the same 1.9″ dimension that GM indicates. What about the McGard 24215 wheel lock? It is spec’d at 1.639″ overall length. According to McGard, they do not recommend using their #24215 because they claim it will bottom out on the wheel stud and possibly push the top of the wheel lock off when torqued down.
I am a die hard McGard fan and decided to buy the #24215 locks and do my own fitment analysis. Here is what I came up with. I am not suggesting you ignore McGard’s warning, and I’m not guarenteeing anything, but you decide for yourself.
I mounted the 2015 GM Wheels/tires (takeoffs) onto my 1997 GMC 4×4 Sierra. These are my measurements in inches:
GM OEM McGard #24215
Overall Lug Length: 1.790 1.645
Lug interior depth 1.771 1.434
Stud length reach (Min) 0.933 This is from the end of the stud to the middle of the 60 degree bevel in the wheel
Stud lenght reach (Max) 1.289 This is from the end of the stud to the bottom of wheel hole, going past the 60 degree bevel
As you can see, the clearance is sufficient between 1.434″ interior McGard wheel lock, even up to the 1.289″ maximum which I believe is nearly impossible for this lug to go down to. (Note I used a cut Q-tip and jammed it into the wheel hole next to the wheel stud)
Bottom line — for me the McGard 24215 (not the 24210), went on with no problems (torqued to 90 ft/lbs) and they look great! Will they work for you? You decide for yourself.

Me gusta la pintura negra que tienen y que se ven muy seguros

The chrome finish is better than the factory chrome covers that split / crack . I will be replacing the rest of the lug nuts .

The description of chrome/black is very confusing. The nuts are NOT chrome. They are gloss black. The same as GMC Black. Also they fit on the mags nicely and valance well.
