So happy with this art table/desk as it’s sturdy, high quality, and perfectly set up for toddlers. My 2 year old son uses it for everything from eating lunch at, doing art at, playing learning games, and just sitting on the chair to watch tv. The clips for holding the paper roll are awesome and Melissa & Doug thought of all the best features for this table including shelving for storage, continuous roll of paper for easy new art projects, and holders for paints or markers. It’s easy to clean and we will be using it for many years to come. Highly recommend

Rarely does a product exceed my expectations but this table and chair set certainly has. It is super durable and heavy. Very nice quality. I like the bookcase on the end, holder cups for accessories, and the roll for paper. The table was easy enough to put together but the chairs were a bit challenging. The screws were very hard to turn with the angle they needed to go. Overall, couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase. Thanks.

I now understand why the chairs are the last thing in the instructions to put together. Perhaps I just got a poorly manufactured dud, but the quality of the screws provided were low quality and there seems to also be a design flaw that makes it very difficult to properly attach the legs to the chairs. There is very little clearance so a standard-sized screwdriver cannot be used- you must have a short screwdriver to access the screw holes to attach the legs. I almost had one of the chairs put together and the last screw stripped out before I could get it fully tightened. This results in a wobbly chair that cannot be used. On the second chair, multiple screws stripped out before I even had it close to completion. Growing up, my family owned a furniture store which is where my first job was. I have literally put together thousands of pieces of furniture. I don’t believe this to be a case of user error. Despite these issues, the table portion looks great, was east to assemble and is sturdy. I have emailed the manufacturer regarding the chair issues and hope they will resolve the situation.
Update: After my initial review, I also realized that one corner of the table top was damaged when it arrived. It has now been almost 4 weeks since I contacted Melissa and Doug Customer “service”. I promptly sent photos and detailed descriptions of the damaged/defective items, and have sent two follow up inquiries but have gotten no indication they plan to provide replacement parts or attempt to resolve the situation in any way. Beware this company.

It took me far too long to put this together because I had to keep taking breaks while screwing on the chair legs. It feels like the screws are way too big. I had a screw driver that fit no problem but it took everything I had to tighten them. I have blisters on my thumb and the palm of my hands and I also rubbed my knuckle raw and bled all over the bottom of the chair.
I admit, I scoffed at the reviews where people said they struggled and thought it must have been something they were doing. Those reviews are no joke – there’s something very wrong with the hardware. I even tried backing one of my screws out to reseat it and the metal thing inside the chair leg came out with it. I wish I had gone out and bought proper sized hardware before putting it together because half of the heads are so stripped there’s no way I’m taking this thing apart. And tightening the screws as they loosen over time is going to be impossible.
Aside from that, I did manage to get all the screws tightened. And there was absolutely no damage to the table or chairs. My daughter (15.5 months) loves it. We were going to wait for her playroom to be done before we bought it but we couldn’t say no to the price. So now it sits in our kitchen lol

This tableset is very impressive. I have 2 lil boys tht love this table they are 2 and 3 yrs old and perfect for eating/drinking/painting/drawing/colouring/using playdough
I love the shelves on the side great storage for paint supplies, markers, and whtwver else you need to keep close to grab and play then quickly put away.
Just a heads up the chairs were the only difficult assembly part just be sure to have a few tools for the right job and no issues

This table is amazing in every way .. you have no idea what youre missing until you get this. Even if your child doesn’t want to color it is perfect to keep the paper on top for messes . The quality is unbelievable. Super solid . It is just absolutely beautiful

Ordered in July just recently was able to open and as I am following directions and pulling stuff out the second shelf is damaged. Upon further inspection I noticed the corner of the table top was produced wrong but sent anyways.

This table has been the most pleasing to unpack no foam residue to vacuum after assembling, they used paper to wrap all the parts and tape to hold and cardboard, no white foam😊 and I loved it. I wish I would have recorded it. Table was easy to assemble, chairs to me was a bit challenging, even though all there was is to put the legs and oala. I do recommend this product it’s real wood and it feels sturdy. Yes my kids already painted and made a mess but it was easy to clean. I have bought a lot of stuff from Amazon and let me tell you, by far this and another furniture to me have been the best most exciting to assemble you’ll love it the minute you open the box. Thank you Melissa and Doug.

This is super cute, my toddler loves having his own table. The cups are perfect for markers, crayons, pencils.. cars.. even the occasional Dinosaur. Shelves fit all the coloring books, craft supplies and puzzles your little one will ever want, all in one space.
The package was incredibly heavy, but that is actually a good thing. It’s because this a quality item. The Little chairs might be sturdier than the chairs at my kitchen table. I think they designed these knowing that Adults will be sitting at the table for Many a Tea Party, Puzzle, Coloring adventure, Craft Day etc. It was a little hard for my husband to fit his hands into some small spaces for the screws, but aside from that assembly was really easy. This is DEFINITELY worth it!

My child absolutely loves it but the packaging was thin so the box ripped and put a scratch on the top of the table which is no big deal. One of the pieces of wedding looked to be cracked but tried to be sanded down as well for the cupholders but overall I would buy it again!!
