Quick filler review to upload the correct pictures with ones from routerboard.com. Hopefully I’ll update it later.
It’s a great little router, and the PoE is quite useful for powering other Mikrotik or Ubiquiti products that use 24V PASSIVE PoE. It doesn’t power devices like phones that require standard 48V 802.3af PoE or 802.3at PoE+.

Router Mikrotik, validissimo e con mille possibilità di configurazione. Acquistato per sfruttare le 4 porte POE e per la possibilità , a sua volta di essere alimentato tramite POE. Purtroppo non è compatibile con il protocollo 802.3af/at. Questo limita il ventaglio di dispositivi alimentabili. Ad esempio non va con la maggior parte delle telecamere IP (Hickvision ad esempio). Inoltre a sua volta non può essere alimentato da dispositivi 802.3af/at (non adatto a tensioni superiori a 30VDC). A causa di questa limitata compatibilità , è da acquistare solo nel caso sia nota a priori la tipologia di dispositivi connessi, altrimenti meglio passare ad altre marche o al modello superiore [hEX PoE]

No complaints. It’s got an initial setup wizard that works perfectly well for home use and has more customization than I will ever need. However, it IS more complicated than a typical consumer router.
The PoE powers my wireless access point with no issues and with my 25/5 Mbit cable connection it has more than enough horsepower for a simple firewall, DHCP server and NAT.
Just note that it is only a 10/100 device.

As a PoE device is doesn’t​ work. Will not power a AP or phone.
As for the router it works well, just like any other Router Board.

The best! if you know what you are doing, there is no networking equpiment more capable or powerful than Mikrotik devices running their rOS!

Mikrotik routers have a reputation for difficult interfacing and menus to the uninitiated. I found that to be true with this router as well which assigned itself a 0.0.0.0 ip address and caused days of banging my head into the wall with it. I was finally able to control it by going to the neighbors tab in mikrotik’s Winbox software which finally found the router by the mac address. Now for the rest of the set up…
Overall a well made device structurally. It provides solid poe power out with the stout power supply thats included. Don’t get it twisted, this isnt at or af poe power, its passive but its compatible with numerous mikrotik and ubiquiti devices. It also accepts a broad range of input voltages which is the best feature to me. I can power this off of 12v in an emergency.
