Be very careful to clean the screen thoroughly before apply the screen cover. Every speck of dust will cause an irremovable bubble. A caution, not a show-stopper. The anti-glare function is not what quite I had hoped, but I got this protect for an improved texture for writing with the stylus on my Surface tablet, and I got exactly what I wanted. It has the right traction for me to write freely. Microsoft handwriting recognition, at least for my scrawl, can still be improved, but finally(!), I am comfortable handwriting manuscripts. If you want to write seriously with a stylus directly into Word, this screen protector helps. A lot.

I use my surface pro to draw and wanted to see how a texture similar to paper would feel while drawing on the surface pro. The feel of the texture is nice but everything else isn’t. The sticky side dirtied easily when installing the screen protector and filled with bubbles that couldn’t be removed. The texture of the screen protector unfortunately erodes pen tips/nibs extremely fast and leaves residue from the pen tip all over the screen. Usually pen tips last me a few months each but the last tip I used only lasted me a few days. Maybe this product is better for occasional pen usage but if you’re an artist like me or use the surface to write a lot, it’s probably best if you avoid this and just get comfortable with the glass screen.

Super happy with this product. Had troubles finding what I wanted and this one is perfect. Doesn’t cause lagging with my stylus (which is also bought from Amazon so its a cheapie). The instructions and supplies to install are really good. Zero bubbles and almost no dust (just a spec or 2 on the edges because of how I installed it). The paper texture is pleasing. Provides some antiglare, which i wanted for reading textbooks/novels. It’ll be really nice to use with digital drawing apps. I’m gonna order a second just to have on hand.

The product brings a unique and pleasant feel to the surface pro pen. I’m currently using a surface pro 5 w/ surface pen (hard tip).
The first thing I noticed when this was delivered and I opened the package was the product was dented. This makes the application process impossible, and it would be my recommendation to check your product for dents or abnormalities once you get it.
*DISCLAIMER* – This seems to be an issue with the mail delivery service, not the quality of the product. But it is something to be on the lookout for.
That being said, I returned the product through Amazon and got the item replaced for no extra charge. With the product here now, I will say I’m very satisfied and excited to work more on my surface pro.
The application process is the same and most screen protectors. The package comes with an application kit, including 3 guide stickers, 1 dust removal sticker, 1 wet wipe, and a microfiber screen cloth. Instructions are also included, but if you are unfamiliar with this type of application, I would recommend pulling up a YouTube instructional video.
Overall, the product supplies what it promises. I’m writing this with glare on the screen as I type this, and it definitely defuses the light. The paper-like texture feels unique and fresh and makes me want to draw more.
I would highly recommend this to any creatives that want some texture while working/creating.

After cracking my expensive glass screen protector I decided to try out Matte ones, I had a friend who had one for his IPAD and I loved it. The first one I got from another brand made me fall in love with writing on my device!(I’m a student and use it for sketching, math, pretty much everything) the only issue I’ve had with other brands is the damn screen wouldn’t adhere around the edges, I mean I tried 3 different kinds and had pretty much decided to give up on it and thinking I was just gonna have to deal with those nasty air bubbles… THEN I FOUND THIS! My last attempt at finding a Paper like screen protector and I am blown away! I started using plastic stylus tips as I enjoy the way the write more and I’d say this feels almost just as good as a pencil! Plus there’s no screen bubbles around the edges or even in the screen And the touch sensitivity is pretty good as well! My previous ones had issues with fingers, but the pen would work fine. This one I defiantly can feel the screen protector but the responsiveness to fingers is still good. My tips for installation after installing so many of this massive things is to be sure you’re in a room with nothing moving, fans are off, central air is off etc. especially if you have dogs, you’d be surprised what ends up on the screen with even the most unfelt drafts. Adhesive takes a bit to stick so be very careful when taking off the #2 sticker as it began to pull the protector with it. Overall very happy and if you hate they way it feels writing on a tablet, get this and a plastic tip and you’ll really begin to enjoy it! I should also note I can not live some of the texture on the screen when using it as a regular laptop, I guess there’s nothing you can do about that tho given what the protector is.

Ich verwende die Folie seit einem halben Jahr auf einem Surface Pro 6.
Aufgrund der großen Fläche ist das Aufbringen der Folie sehr anspruchsvoll (dies gilt natürlich für alle Folien dieser Größe). Um die Staublast zu verringern, habe ich einen Raum gewählt, in dem für einige Zeit keine Personen rumlaufen und möglichst wenig Luftbewegung ist (selbst die Thermik von Sonnenstrahlen durchs Fenster kann ordentlich aufwirbeln). Die eigenen Klamotten und Bewegungen sollte man auch bedenken. (Ich las, dass hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit z.B. nach dem Duschen, Staub in der Luft bindet und zu Boden sinken lässt – nach dem Duschen im Badezimmer mit der Folie rumzuwerkeln war mir dann aber doch etwas zu viel 🙂
Kurzum: Habe die Folie ohne Probleme staubfrei aufbringen können (ein Klebefilmstreifen um den Finger gewickelt hat Staubteilchen entfernen können, die sich dennoch unterschummeln wollten).
Auf dem Surface 6 ist die Folie sehr passgenau – es bleibt ca. 1mm des Displayrandes unbedeckt, so dass auch nichts unterhakt.
Das Zeichnen auf der Folie mit den HB-Spitzen des Stylus ist wirklich großartig. Ich mag den Widerstand und das Zeichengefühl noch mehr als von meinem Wacom Intuos M. Das Gleiten des Stiftes ist angenehm rau und hat dennoch einen leichten gummiartigen Anteil (verm. durch die Spitze des Stylus).
Ich habe mittlerweile viel gezeichnet und konnte noch keine sichtbare Abnutzung der Spitze fest stellen – beim Zeichnen setze ich allerdings auch nicht viel Druck ein – das mag beim Schreiben anders sein.
Die Stiftbedienung funktioniert tadellos – ich konnte keinen Unterschied bemerken.
Die Touch-Funktion scheint etwas weniger sensibel zu sein, ist aber absolut im akzeptablen Bereich. Auch das Wischen mit den Fingern fühlt sich auf der Folie gut an.
Da ich zu träge bin, die Folie ständig zu reinigen, sieht mein Surface damit etwas scheckig aus – aber ich fürchte, das ist mein persönliches Problem und nicht das der Folie 🙂

C’est exactement ce qu’il me fallait, je n’ai aucun problème au niveau du dessin, l’écran me parrait même un poil moins fragile, c’est très agréable 🙂 bien sur ce n’est pas exactement comme du papier mais bon c’est un détail et de toute manière la texture de la protection est quand même très satisfaisante, c’est ce qu’il me fallait. Un vrai plaisir, c’est rare que je sois autant heureuse d’un achat sur Amazon.

I had zero problems with installing, zero bubbles. Just take your time and work slowly from one side to the other. The alignment tabs are helpful and the protector is flexible so you can work the bubbles out as you go.
I take a lot of notes at work and I hate carrying around binders and notebooks. I bought my surface pro 4 as a senior in college. From the beginning, this thing has saved me and helped me organize my life and work.
I noticed that writing wasn’t as fluid as I once remembered. I thought it was the pen, tried different tips, but it just has never been the same as good ol’ fashion pen on paper. I was considering buying a Remarkable or another style of “paper-like” digital notebook. Then I thought, I already have the tech. I just want that rough finish. I found this screen protector.
Let me tell you, folks. The screen response time is better, finger smudges are easier to clean, my handwriting is more legible, and it does reduce glare, plus, I get a paper-like matte finish for reading on my kindle app.
This screen protector has dramatically improved the quality of my experience with my old, faithful Surface. If it wasn’t for the battery life, I’d think I had a whole new computer.

It didn’t feel like paper, more like sandpaper. After applying the screen protector the surface had too much friction and the pen lagged a lot. After trying it for a while, I decided to remove it, which was unfortunate as I was really looking forward to be able to write on my Surface Pro with a more natural feeling.
