This is one of the best gimbals I have used thus far. It is well packaged and well thought out. The box and case were a lot smaller than I thought. This make travel much easier. The parts in the case are inserted in a soft pocket so no parts can be scratched or bang together. The gimbal assembly is made of good quality parts and justify the price tag. The only plastic pieces that I could see is the control-oled assembly and battery. The rest appears to be made of solid anodized metal parts from the stand all the way to the gimbal arms. The adjustments have nice slide indicators for making quick adjustments easy. The stand has a rubber layer for when it is folded up and feels good in the hands. The pan and roll motors are covered with rubber which is a nice touch so the arms don’t bang when setting up. The Moza Aircross 2 came with all the parts needed to get started and to mount the camera. The L bracket is very sturdy and supports my Nikon Z6 with the 24-70 f4 with ease. All the arms have locking adjustments for setting up the gimbal. This gimbal balances my camera very easy and is a pleasure to set up. The battery last a long time with moderate use. Calibration and tuning was easy with the available YouTube videos from Moza. The Moza app works very well and was a snap to set up. The gimbal with my Z6 mounted on this looks and feels very solid. I have ran around my local park for several hours getting used to the controls and movements. After a while it became an extension of my body and was very intuitive to my movements. What I suggest to get the best quality video is to move slow at first. The footage looks more professional. The gimbal has a very fluid movement overall. I would highly recommend trying this gimbal for a first time user or a seasoned PRO. The price and quality is was a great deal.

This review is for the Moza AirAcross 2. About a month ago I purchased the Moza Mini S Gimbal. I liked it so much I wanted a professional gimbal to use with my DSLR. This gimbal is amazing. I’ve tried other brand DSLR gambles before but I was never able to balance them. This gimbal had no problem being balanced.
I was able to balance it within about 5 minutes on my first try. The onboard screen allowed me to run a balance check to make sure everything was balanced correctly. I really like the onboard screen. I haven’t seen other gambles in this price range that can hold as much with a display screen. The display screen allows beginners to operate this gimbal much easier. Typically you have to count how many times you push a button to know what setting you’re in. With this gimbal there’s no guessing work, everything is visible on the monitor. However it is really easy to use the app as well. The app will let you go into inception mode, control your gimbal from a distance, and many other things. So I definitely recommend using the app to start with.
Here are a few cool features that this gimbal has. You can do mimic movement using your cell phone. This allows the gimbal to follow the movements of your cell phone in case you’re recording yourself. Then there is motion tracking. This also uses your cell phone, but you attach it to your hot shoe on your camera. Then you set the tracking so the gimbal will follow a subject on its own. This works great with a tripod. Inception mode is another cool feature. You can spin the camera 360 degrees in any direction automatically or manually. I highly recommend checking out tutorials on how to use all the features available. Tutorials are also a good way to learn how to properly balance the gimbal. Every time you add or take away something from your camera, the gimbal will need to be rebalanced.
My favorite thing about the Moza AirAcross 2 is how easy it is to use. That’s why I recommend this gimbal to any beginner or professional for that matter. It is a professional gimbal but it is the easiest one I have found to use. Setting up the gimbal didn’t take any time at all, which is a big plus when your first starting out. The onboard screen makes maneuvering through the settings so much more easier. Definitely a necessity if you’re just starting out. The app allows you to update the firmware without having to connect to your computer. However you can still update using your computer if you want to. My camera and the gimbal together only weighs a little over 5 pounds. I found that pretty easy to carry.
I guess all I can say is if you’re looking for a first time gimbal to use with your DSLR or mirrorless camera, this one is a good choice. If you’re looking for a gimbal to buy for someone else whether their starting out in videography or have been doing it for awhile, this gimbal is my recommendation. It is a good gamble to learn on and it is one you can grow with, not outgrow.

Worked okay for awhile. It was pretty responsive, worked with it for about a year and a half before problems started. The motors would vibrate now and again when filming with certain angles. The main issues started after I attempted using my a7r5 in a small rig cage with a 24mm GMaster lens attached. I always used to take the camera out of the cage before using it with this gimbal. But even with the cage the set up was well within the “listed” payload of the gimbal but ever since that day, I have been having issues.
I always use autotune after balancing to set up the motor power and never had a problem until after I used the cage. so now when I autotune the ROLL axis will flop over to one side before it resets. This is not normal. Contacted Moza Support and they insisted that this was normal though it had never used to act this way. So I continued using it until it failed completely during a shoot by randomly going into sleep mode 5 mins after filming. Contacted Moza Support once again and they were no help what so ever. I sent them 7 different videos showing the issues, going to sleep, the autotune failing, going to sleep after trying to use INCEPTION mode. INCEPTION mode stopped working the motor couldn’t even do a half turn before it falls asleep. The best the Moza support could come up with was that I wasn’t balancing the gimbal correctly despite the fact I sent them a video of the balanced gimbal. They eventually just stopped responding to my emails. So idk, my advice is stay away from Moza in general, go with another brand, someone with better support. This was a headache the gimbal can no longer be trusted and I got no decent troubleshooting beyond “Balance” and “Update” the gimbal. Nice Moza, thanks.

This has to be one of the best cost/quality/value products in existence for cameras. It comes kitted out for just about any setup. You do need to read the manual to get the most of the device, and the warning card in the box is actually useful information.
The quality of the device is excellent. The motors are silent, and they work well even with heavy camera bodies and lenses. I tried it with 400mm telephoto lens (way over the designed weight limit), and the gimbal worked so long as I was gentle with the movements. The gimbal works fantastic, and it produces very fluid video.
The best thing, to me, is that I can make all sorts of changes to the gimbal (motor strength, follow speed, etc) right on the device. There is no need to connect it to your phone or register it online so it will work. Everything you need for it to work (except the camera and a USB charger) comes in the box.
The only thing I don’t like is that it uses a proprietary battery. If you’re going to be using it all day, you will probably want a couple spare batteries to change out.
