I have bought many MSI products and I have rarely been disappointed. The one problem I had was solved by MSI RMA and they actually gave me an upgrade to a more expensive item because the original model was out of stock. It was probably just a bad model or bad luck. This is great quality for the price and surprisingly light weight. I used it for a budget build with a mix of new and used parts. An Asus x370-f motherboard fit perfectly after installing the included standoffs. The only problem I encountered was with the Argb 3 pin connectors. To have customized lighting with the included rgb on the case you need a RGB controller or a motherboard with the 3 pin ARGB connectors. I have seen some 3 pin to 4 pin connectors but I havent tested them. The RGB in the case does come with a SATA connector. Mine is a static green with obviously no option for customizing through the SATA power. Not a big problem but it would have been nice if a connector was included if those do function with the RGB customization. I could solve this with a cheap RGB controller or a $2 adapter if the adapter would work. It was the only thing missing from the build. I got it on sale so it was an amazing deal. The motherboard is older. I got a great deal on it used and I wasn’t using the latest am4 processor. Newer boards should have the 3 pin argb connectors. This shouldn’t be a problem for people using newer hardware. I just feel awful that the person who uses this don’t have access to the full performance boost of customizable rgbs. Lol. (Performance boost of rgbs is a placebo effect). Ignore the test gpu in the system. This will have a decent GPU in it before it leaves.

I like the look of this case and everything feels fairly solid when put together. The last part I bought for this build was an RX 7800 Xt (PowerColor Hellhound) and it barely fits with some finegling. I had to move the front fan and now it creates this compartment with no air flow. I am going to have to get a new case ore a smaller card. Actually looks cool and works well otherwise. Just 1 more inch deep and it would be much better.

  8. Excelente demasiado bonito sencillo seca muy bien

Looks amazing but I’ve had trouble with the RGB light in the front flickering once in awhile and the metal quality in general is very weak.. the only place my GPU can mount the screws barley get tight enough to hold it in level.

The case is really good, can’t complain. It is a mid range so for ATX mobos space is really tight. Cable management can be tricky but not a big deal.

    Liked pretty much everything,
had everything you need and 2 Fans (one rgb in the back and a normal at the front)

The RGB Fan is automatically connected to the front panel.

It features a dedicated button to change colors or different color fades/switches/etc.

    5/5 stars

This is my first PC Build

Having not played anything on my phone since end of November last year and not wanting to buy a console, I decided to start building a PC. I was looking online to see what would be the best parts I could put together keeping in mind my budget and the space I have. I was orignially planning to make a white build but see that everywhere and whole ton of panoramic cases people use.
I wanted something slightly more subtle. I just fell in love with this case when I first saw it online. I decided to go for the black instead of the white.
It took me a while to gather most of the parts required to boot a computer. The wait was super worth it.

The case is a mid tower, I will not get too much in to the specifications, as they are listed in the MSI website.

This is MSI Gungnir 300r Black. It has 4 120mm ARGB fans. One at the rear and 3 in the front. The front IO panel is amazing.
It is quite heavy and very sturdy. The packaging of the box was top notch and contains all the necessary screws that you need to fix the motherboard and the stands and support for a vertical mount GPU.

The lighting effects are amazing and is quite bright. You can tone it down a notch (upto 5 levels) using the Msi Mystic Light app.
The front panel has an LED effects button that lets you switch between presets on the case itself apart from software control. The effects are pretty nice.

I haven’t peeled off any of the labels/ plastic from the side glass panel. I will leave it there indefinitely.

One minor issue I had was when I was building my computer, I was referring to the manual online (not included in the documentation), and it took me around 4 hours to find the sata connector that was hidden behind all the neat cable management that was already done with the case. I was thinking I had gotten the wiring wrong in some way and was unplugging and replugging connectors.

Such a shame I was not able to put the cables as they were done in the factory, but that I guess for another day.

The airflow is pretty nice and you will not hear the fans even when letting them spin at max RPM.

    My build right now is

    MSI Gungnir 300r Black
    Amd R7 Ryzen 7800x3D
    MSI B650 Tomahawk Wifi
    Samsung 980 1TB
    MSI MPG A850G psu
    16×2 T-force Delta RGB 6000HZ RAM
    Deepcool AK620 Digital.

Got this for my backup “clutch” gamer, and was pleasantly surprised with its compact, lightweight and beautiful look.

The rear fan is the included MSI ARGB fan, and it (or the front RGB LED strip) has daisy-chain (PST), so those are hooked together and controlled by Mystic Light (MSI center), as this budget beauty sports an MSI VDH Pro Wifi motherboard. I paired it with an older MSI 4060ti after an upgrade to hubby’s PC, and socketed a Ryzen 5600x, and this case holds it all together beautifully.

The other included fan is non-RGB/dark, which seems odd but often is seen in the rear case fan (I guess some people don’t like the light shining in their eyes or something, so I switched mine out.

This case manages to be lightweight but not cheap-feeling or cheap-looking. This is perfect–the small size too–as I can easily store the completed build in my closet, pulling it out when needed in a pinch, or even to travel with for a long stay/as a loner for friends and family.

The cutout on the PSU shroud is another nice touch; it shows up the RGB on my PSU.

Just be aware with this case (yes you have eyes too and can read) that there is no option to top-mount a rad/AIO, just fans only. I’m thinking of upgrading my CPU cooler due to Diablo 4 (though no problems so far), and I think I will hunt for a 120 mm AIO and mount it on the back. Been fine with the stock Wraith cooler so far though.

You of course can always front-mount up to a 360mm AIO, but I always like the fans’ own RGB’s to show through the front of the case, and I always worry about air flow/pump flow when going that route, but that’s kind of a me thing. I picked up a pack of RGB fans super-cheap as the case supports six total.

Also the feet are sturdy and durable and that is always a HUGE plus for me. Building in this case was a breeze.
