I bought these books for my seven year old stepchild and he has been struggling with reading this book. Some of the words are difficult for a seven year old to read alone and I am working on teaching my stepchildren how to read independently. The story is great and is a fun read for children, I think maybe ten years ago this would’ve been for seven year olds but now a days when reading doesn’t seem to be a standard in school teaching, this may need to be set for third grade or higher.

Happy with the quick delivery. I should have taken a cue from the title, that the rest of the words within the book may not have been as kid-friendly or age appropriate. We’ll see how it pans out. But 2 chapters in, I’m pretty sure we’ve read the word, “moron”, about a dozen times 🙄.

Sometimes we go a few days without reading and when we resume, I’ll ask him if he remembers what part of the story we left off at and he ALWAYS remembers exactly what part.
