I bought this as a gift for my dad’s birthday and he seems to really like it. I love how slim it is because it doesn’t take up too much counter space. I also really like the variety of knives in it. I find this is the perfect basic set for an at-home cook. I did notice that the blades get dull quickly, but it comes with the sharpener so it’s not that big of a deal.

These knives are beautiful and sharp. Excellent grip and easy to work with. A chef’s dream! Wasn’t a fan of the block it came with though, so bought a different one to go with it. I wish this company made steak knives to go with this set

Excellent set of knives! My husband is very satisfied. He is the cook in the family. He had some fun slicing through paper just like on commercials for high end knives. Be careful to not cut yourself accidentally as they are very sharp!

Love this set!! Knives come SUPER sharp and ready to use. Block is nice and sturdy. Great addition to any kitchen. Make sure you hand wash the knives after each use and putting them in the dishwasher will not only dull the blades, but may also leave spots depending on your water.
I had a set of Henkels and I like that set and used it for more than 5 years. But it was time for an updated set and the value for this set with all the pieces is great! The scissors cut through chicken bone without problems. I’m a huge fan of the Santuko, the Chefs, and the pairing knives. Been using for 6 months and have not had to sharpen them yet. Great set!!

I actually did the test to see if this in fact is damascus, and the blade is, but the handle is not. I sanded down the metal on one side of one blade then polished that side, then put drain cleaner acid on that side for a minute and the damascus pattern came back. They have welded the blade to the handle like many knife makers do. The blades are thin and very very very sharp. There were a few chips in a few blades but they were very small, and not in an area that requires immediate resharpening. Also the fact that there are tiny chips on a few spots is proof these blades have a high hardness and were tempered. Overall these are a good value, and i am happy with my knives and my wife was happy with them even before she knew they were real damascus.

Wow. I’m a hard sell and usually don’t waste time writing reviews unless I’m totally impressed or unbelievably disappointed with a product.
I started cooking when I was ten years old. I learned how to properly sharpen and hone a knife before I reached puberty. This is absolutely the most functionally amazing knife set I’ve used. Ever. Razor sharp when I received them and I’ve been using them regularly and haven’t needed to sharpen them in about two weeks. If you’re used to the crap they try to pawn off as “quality” in the big-box stores locally, do yourself a favor and look for a flash sale, invest the cost and I’d have to say that I’d guarantee that there is not a chance that you’ll feel any disappointment in these knives. Also, they are just freakin beautiful! I felt not one shred of buyers remorse in purchasing these knives when I opened the box and when I used them, and that’s pretty rare for me. I have high standards in the kitchen and these knives did not disappoint at all. 100% ecstatic with this purchase!

These knives didn’t disappoint. Razor-sharp and a joy to use. I didn’t need a multi-piece set of knives that would take over my counter space and cost a fortune. I wanted something compact, with just the key knives that would be easy to grab and then store. This is it. Knives are well-weighted, size options are ideal for everyday food prep and they slice through items with little to no effort. The block is low, angled for easy access, and tucks in nicely beneath my cabinets.

The Damascus pattern is visible on all the knives and looks incredible. The scissors aren’t Damascus and aren’t really great for much. The block was black but there’s already flakes coming off. The knives are too nice to put in a dishwasher. The knives are very sharp

I am hand washing to try to preserve their look and blade. Bonus: the included knife block does not have a large footprint, like my previous one did, thus taking up less counter space.
