I’m your average camper/hiker and this hiking bag is perfect for my transitional season camping habits. I’m not likely to test this in deep winter weather (and it’s not graded for it), but for a spring/fall? It’s perfect. I’m 5’4 and small, I love to feel cocooned and this sleeping bag is absolutely perfect for it. I feel completely enclosed and I can sleep with just my lower face uncovered which makes me feel less like I’m sleeping on the ground in a tent. It is a bit tricky to get in and out of the bag it comes with, but such is life – all camping gear is like that in my opinion. For your average smaller camper, this is perfect! It did make my larger husband feel a little too snug, so I’ll note that for size purposes.

* Pros-what I liked and what worked well:
-Good value for the style, quality and temperature range.
-Good quality on the materials, style, construction and finish.
-Mummy style, with a hood (for your head) and a tapered foot area and an overall closer to the body style vs standard rectangular sleeping bags. This makes it lighter, less bulky and warmer due to the closer to the body fit.
-Hooded with a drawstring closure (much like some coats have).
-There are several temperature variations in the listing. The 33-43 F one has a range for 42.8 F comfort temperature, 33.8 low temperature, and an 8.6 degree extreme low temperature limit (that’s not the general use or comfort limit).
-Length: 86.6 inches long.
-Width: 31.5 inches (at the shoulder area), 23.6 inches (at the hood area), 27.6 inches (at the waist area), 16.9 inches (at the feet area).
-Zipper closure with a two way zipper.

-Note that this is a single, one person sleeping bag for one person.
-Note that it’s tapered at the feet in the “mummy” style, it’s not rectangular at the top and at the feet area like a standard sleeping bag. It’s more tapered and closer to the body than a rectangular sleeping bag.
-Note that there are several variations in the listing for different ranges of use temperatures. Be sure and refer to the temperature charts in the pictures. Note that some measurements are in F and some in C, so look closely to be sure you’re using the temperature unit you normally refer to.
-While it’s relatively lightweight, I wouldn’t call it super lightweight. You’ll notice both the size bulk and the weight in a backpack, so be sure it’s a weight you can carry comfortably.
-You may want to consider adding your own (not included) air filled pillow and for extra warmth (or if it gets colder than expected and near to below the range they are rated for) a foil emergency blanket (you could also lay one under it or over it, or both). They’re inexpensive, small and light and if you get the right size make a good base under a sleeping bag or draped on top of it like a blanket (they’re not included). You may also want to consider a small fold up foot pump (inflatable with a built in foot pump) air mattress as well. I like to have an air mattress, air filled pillow and two (one below the sleeping bag or air mattress, one as needed on top of the sleeping bag) of the fordable foil emergency blankets.
-If you’re taller or a larger person, you may want to check the listing and listing pictures to be sure it will be tall and or wide enough for your comfort and a good fit for you.
-If you’re using it in a tent, be sure and check your tent measurements to be sure it will fit well.

This bag is claustrophobic… thank God they installed a good zipper that can be accessed inside. If you wonder about the burrito term used, when you are all wrapped up inside and can’t move your arms and fight back, then you are one stop shopping for a big bear. (Plus you look like a burrito in the bag!)
Now this really is a nice bag out here for Fall and Spring but it won’t handle -20F winter temperatures like we sometimes get. One thing I want to mention is the bag has an internal collar sewn in to keep wind from blowing in. That is innovative.
As someone mentioned in their review, the zipper on the bag is on your left side. The bag is hard enough to get into but if the zipper is next to a tent wall then that can be a problem. Now once you are in the bag, it is soft and comfy. You can pull the drawstring for the built in Hood and only your nose and eyes show. The bag is very warm once you are in. It is also lightweight but feels heavier than the 3.3 pounds claimed. It is machine washable which is another plus. And it is only around fifty bucks, yet another plus.
So overall, do I like this bag? For me, no but my wife loves it. I get claustrophobic all cooped in like that. I do think it’s a good bag for the price and probably just fine for most southern locations during winter.

This will be perfect for camping this fall. Excellent quality. Sturdy, rip-stop material is snag resistant. Waterproof. Zipper works smoothly. Packs up neatly into a small bag. It’s definitely hard work to repack it but otherwise there’s no complaints. Easy to clean – it’s machine washable.

I’m 6’3″ and I was able to fit just fine in the bag, despite it having a tapered tip and a hood around my head. The zipper is on the left side, I’m used to mine being on the right (and I think one of the videos shows it on the right side as well). I washed it on gentle and air dried it, which it did fairly quickly. I didn’t notice any damage from washing it like that, I just wouldn’t use the dryer for any bag to be safe. The inner lining is silky and felt good around my skin. The filling instantly warmed me up as well. I can’t test it in freezing temperatures since it’s the middle of May, but it should work okay, as long as you have layered clothes on. It was easy enough to pack up, and though I wouldn’t call it lightweight I didn’t find it extremely bulky. Seems like a decent starter bag if the price is right, but it’s a competitive market and there might be better options out there as well.
