Fast, Reliable, nice features. I use NextDNS so the parental controls built in I am not using, and they are an additional cost which is a bit ridiculous considering I paid over $700 for the router – parental controls should be a standard feature. My old ASUS WIFI 6 router had the parental controls built-in, just a shame to see NETGEAR following the corporate scum route and try to DLC standard router features.

This device excels right out of the box, delivering exceptional performance that easily sets it apart in its class. It’s a powerhouse that seamlessly takes charge, but there’s a catch: some basic features, such as website monitoring, are locked behind a paywall. In Netgear’s ecosystem, what many consider a fundamental function has been rebranded as part of parental control, which may not sit well with all users.

The iOS app functionality feels restricted; for instance, it doesn’t allow changes to DNS settings or the activation of IPv6. Those in need of advanced configuration will find the web interface far more accommodating. Additionally, the app seems overdue for an update to properly support Apple’s Dynamic Island, a miss that detracts from the overall user experience on newer iPhones.

On a positive note, the integration of Bitdefender’s firewall right from the get-go is commendable. Not only is it a top-tier security feature, but it also grants access to Bitdefender’s full suite of anti-malware software—undeniably a best-in-class solution that significantly enhances the device’s value. The combination of the router with Bitdefender’s protection is impressive.

However, the cost of parental controls feels steep. Given the price, one might expect a more robust and feature-rich parental control experience. In summary, while the router itself and its integration with Bitdefender are exceptional, the additional cost for comprehensive parental controls leaves room for improvement in terms of functionality and value.

This router has never failed nor has I had to restart it for any reason. Yes indeed it is expensive but on the very same note, is very well worth it’s price tag. I am so very excited that I dived in and made the purchase. Now, router wise I can say that I am set for the future. I’m using the 10G port to run my Linksys router as a sub router or secondary router and it works flawless. I have mine mounted on the wall using the Netgear wall mount which looks amazing. I have this unit paired with the Nighthawk CM2000 cable modem, a perfect match. The cool thing I like about this router is being able to use the app to control it from wherever I’m at, which means no you don’t have to be tied down to your wifi in order to control this router. Love how cool it runs which makes me feel it will be around for some time. So far I only have like 26 devices connected through it excluding my Linksys router. This router is a must have if you are in the market for a new router. If not, it’s a got to have. My streaming doesn’t interfere with my large downloads and web surfing. One of the stand out features of this router to me is the ability to separate band by device. 2.4G, 5G etc. I simply can’t say enough good things about this product. One thing I will say, if you are by chance having trouble with it, look elsewhere because this product is aimed to please. Something else that I like about this router is that it comes complete with a year of security which makes this an even more fabulous buy. The only con I came across this far is not having this unit sooner. It feels great to know that my service provider is no longer robbing me of the speed that I am paying for. I’m getting every drop of it now. Though I don’t have a 3,500 square foot home, it’s still good to know that this router will cover such distance. I have also noticed a difference when playing Gran Turismo, it seems much faster in my favor, because even when.I pull over to allow other players to pass me, I always regain the lead again. Even streaming seems even more clear and so much like natural TV. I’m heading into a month of using this router and it’s still working just like the very first day of use. Money very well spent and not wasted. Again I will say, you get what you pay for.

I have been looking for a solid wifi router for my home internet and found this RS700S router from Netgear. After careful considerations of customer review where there are less 1 or 2 star reviews compared to similar wifi router and overall high review and product spec I thought I would try this router. Well, I am glad that I did choose this router. Signal is fast and strong covering my home, app is easy to manage the rouer. This router does great job and I am satisfied. I highly recommend this router.
