Love the brightness and color, size and price but after using a number of these the ones with the LCD screens are my favorite because I can set them up easily and read the display, make corrections as needed. If you get this one do watch the tutorial video because it makes more sense than the written directions. I have trouble getting one of them to remember the settings, or I am doing something wrong despite following directions. The others work great and are also great on terrariums (I keep freshwater shrimp and dart frogs under these lights). Value wise these are great and it’s nice being able to choose red as a night light, or any other color, so the hassle might be worth it if you are looking for a lot of choices of colors.

Best purchase by far. Turn it on and don’t have to worry about it again. Bright and looks amazing. A few reviews saying the instructions were terrible, they aren’t the best but common sense makes it easy to use

Iโm really picky about lighting in my aquarium & I donโt care for cool whites, which is what most โfull spectrumโ lights end up being; even the ones that claim to have adjustable light colors usually disappoint. This one is just awesome, especially for the price.
If you like cool white, this has that, too, but it also has natural white and decent adjustability for other hues. The 24-hour cycle of colors is great; I havenโt set it up fully, but it has a demo mode that shows you the colors that it will change to in a brief period of time & I am fond of the cycle. I donโt know how easy it will be to set the time on that, but it looks simple enough.
The only thing that I donโt like is the flimsy remote, but my Fluval (reputable name brand, if youโre not familiar) tank has one, too, and it has been working just fine for over 2 years. I wish that both had controls that didnโt require a remote because if you break or lose one, the light will basically become unusable, but it appears that mostโif not allโadjustable lights have these remotes now.

I love the fact that you only need to set up once and never have to touch it again. I don’t have to remember if I turned off the light at night or if I sleep in turning on the light in time.
Only down side is there isn’t a really good explanation on how to set it up but a quick YouTube video and you’ll be fine. Highly recommend for anyone with an open face tank.

This light is exactly what we needed. It is bright and makes the tank look so much more vibrant and nice.

I bought this because it was highly rated on my Facebook fish group. It really is well-made and great value with quality metal materials. It has a sunset/sunrise feature which will be fun for me, don’t know what the fish will think or if they’ll care but I like it. The remote is relatively easy to work with helpful instructions and there are online videos too. This is for low tech tanks, not a lot of light for needy plants but that’s what I’m planning so perfect for my needs. It looks like it cost more than it did. Recommended.

So far working great.

Fits the Fluval edge aquarium perfectly. Light cycle for plants and fish works great. Very happy, saved a lot of bucks on this one. Remote works great.

Easy to install. Easy to set up. We have it set on the automatic daylight cycle setting that changes light intensity and color during various parts of the day. It starts out dim with a slight reddish hue “at dawn” and slowly becomes whiter and brighter as the day progresses. In the evening, intensity backs off incrementally as it transitions to night where it becomes dim with a blue hue. Very cool and realistic. I don’t worry about blasting our fish with super bright light 24/7.

This light is perfect! Fits my 30gal tank with no problem and I love that it has the 24/7 option. Now the light changes as the day goes by and I donโt have to touch it once! Itโs all programmed. Love it so much I bought one for my 75 gal tank as well

I LOVE THIS LIGHT. I had the first generation of this light that I got in 2017 and I recently decided to upgrade because I was getting a bigger tank. After reading the manual and messing with the controls a bit I realized how awesome this lights actually is. You might need an understanding of RGB to get the desired color combination if you’re doing it manually but you can also just go by trial and error. The 24/7 light setting is awesome and I love it. It mimics daylight perfectly and looks really good. Great value for money.

Very bright for daylight with CO2, very nice moonlight with just blue lights. Can’t figure out how to program it, tho, and I’m a computer/electrical engineer! Definite problem with power cord and/or
dc adapter to plug.
Spent many years notating parts, longevity, material quality, labor reliability. Quality control is money-rather than quality/pride/reputation-driven. Worldwide. Why do you think new cell phones die after a single drop, when older ones, keep on working?
I’ve put in for a return, and replacement with same item. A crap-shoot, for sure. Maybe I’ll get lucky.
Update: 03/31/24:
After viewing no less than 14 YouTube videos on how to program this unnecessarily complicated and insufficiently-explained-in-the-instructions marvel, I should add the following:
It does do what it says, if you can figure it out.
It’s physically sturdier than the Aquaneat light strips that I have of the same length, less likely to “sag” over time.
And yes, I have observed good-to-moderate growth of red leaf plants with CO2 and ferts under this light (programmed the way I have it) in a 10 gal tank. I can only suppose, but cannot prove, the 6500K color rendering of the white LEDs are not far off base. Closest I’ve come to affordable (ie priced for middle class and limited income consumers) lighting to take place of Hagen LifeGlo 6700K reflector fluorescent bulbs from years ago when freshwater planted tanks looked like clear and natural dreamscapes for less than a month’s rent.
I may re post as to longevity, if and when appropriate.

Love the light the 24hr timer setting is amazing love that it gives a very natural light effect to my tank. It stays cool to the touch and doesn’t affect the temperature of my tank much if at all. Super easy to install. Works great 10/10
