This has become one of my favourite games, but there are some notable negatives to it that I think will be a deal breaker to some. I wouldn’t recommend this game to everyone, but if its for you then you’re in for a wonderful time
Pros
+ Gameplay is excellent – varied maps, terrain you’re standing on (e.g. grass, water, pavement) affects gameplay. The roster is large (30 characters) with distinct movesets that are all useful in their own way
+ Story is great – It’s a slow burn about three neighbouring nations with different ideals competing for resources. There are a lot of minor characters that get ample screen time and it helps flesh out the world
+ Decisions matter – there are many decisions in the game where each answer has genuine merit and its hard to choose. You can talk to your allies to get their input, and I’ve found my choice swayed more than once by what they had to say. These decisions come often and they change what battles you enter and where you go
+ Hard mode is much more challenging than normal (the game’s director says he couldn’t beat the game himself on Hard). It changes enough that you need to consider the moves you make and the units you use on each map carefully
Inbetween
~ CUTSCENES, there are many times there are massive gaps between each fight. You can skip them, but a lot of the worth of this game is the narrative and its characters
Cons
– Start of the game is a slog (up until Chapter 4 or so) although it picks up immediately from there
– Voice acting is all over the place. Some of it is fantastic (Roland, Avlora) while others feel like they’re reading directly off of the page
– Framerate drops very hard on a few of the maps, even docked
– name sucks

Triangle Strategy è una bellissima aggiunta al mondo dei giochi strategici per Nintendo, con un sistema di combattimento a turni che premia la pianificazione e una trama profonda e articolata che coinvolge sin dall’inizio. La storia è un punto di forza: ambientata in un mondo fantasy-politico ben costruito, ti costringe a fare scelte morali e strategiche che influenzano direttamente il percorso e gli esiti del gioco. Ogni decisione porta con sé conseguenze, rendendo ogni partita un’esperienza diversa.
Il gameplay è solido e richiede un approccio tattico: posizionamento, abilità e strategie contano davvero. La varietà di personaggi e abilità offre tantissime opzioni per personalizzare il proprio stile di gioco e affrontare le battaglie con un’ampia gamma di tattiche. La grafica in stile HD-2D è curata e nostalgica, unendo il fascino del retro con dettagli moderni che rendono ogni scena accattivante.
Unico limite è che le sezioni narrative possono essere piuttosto lunghe, e alcuni giocatori potrebbero trovare il ritmo un po’ lento tra le battaglie. Tuttavia, per chi ama i giochi di strategia con una storia ricca e ben scritta, Triangle Strategy è un’esperienza appagante e coinvolgente. Consigliato per gli appassionati di tattiche a turni e trame che lasciano il segno!

First of all, delivery was amazing next day and it was with me!
This is very very slow to start with, it might even put some people off with how much dialogue and emphasis it puts into the lore and background to bring you up to speed with the present, so be patient and you will absolutely reap the benefit of what should be a ground breaking game for switch owners.
The Protagonist is the fairly standard heir to the lord of etc. And comes across as a bit of a flake, but hes ok enough, the real genius of this game is that it makes all the other playable and supporting characters interesting and it’s up to you if you want to find out more about them, the game doesn’t force that on you, you can quite happily skip optional content, though it does have a bearing on the different paths this game takes you down.
The real star of the show is the battles, wow, extremely engaging and very simple to learn to begin with, and there are tutorial battles (recommended) to explain the more strategic and difficult manoeuvres to outwit your opponents.
Replay value is 10/10.
Simply put it’s amazing, if you like rpgs and or tactics games, this is for you, end of.

This arrived on time. If you’re looking for more of a political drama tactics game than look no further. More people need to talk about this game cuz it’s really damn good. Story is very well thought out, your decisions aren’t always black or white. You’re party coasts in the grey, not seeing eye to eye across the country. Very interesting, and highly recommend if you’re a game of thrones fan.
