Having an HD remake of Xenoblade is one of the best things to have happened. I do not regret buying this game in the slightest. The only thing to criticize is THE FACT SHULK DOESN’T TAKE A BITE OF THE SANDWICH CMON MONOLIFTSOFT YOU HAD 10 YEARS TO CHANGE THAT ONE SINGLE PROP IN A SINGLE SHOT IN A SINGLE CUTSCENE.

Of the three Xenoblade games on switch this one is by far the worst- but in itself it is nonetheless a pretty good game.
Don’t get me wrong, the story is fantastic, but
-The story takes way too long to get good.
-The gameplay and combat is tedious, I found myself just skipping things to watch the next cutscene.
-The graphics and animation haven’t aged well. Voice acting is still great though.
I’d recommend you just play the 2nd and 3rd games, both are much better and do not require much knowledge from the 1st.

I love this game so much. I could probably rattle on for hours about how much I’ve enjoyed playing it. I like the story. I like the environments. I like the characters. I like the battle system. It’s big, and beautiful, and frankly just my cuppa tea.

The digital code works exactly as intended – you make the purchase on Amazon, redeem the code on the Nintendo eShop (US), never any issues with any such transaction.
The game itself, I have not yet even begun to scratch the surface. I decided to purchase Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition because I have thoroughly enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and its stand-alone prequel expansion, Torna: The Golden Country. So far, I am about 6 hours of gameplay into XCDE and I can tell this is going to be another epic adventure I can sink 100+ hours into, and I can’t wait to uncover more of the story!

An expansive game with fun gameplay. But the game can be repetitive and the characters spouting off the same cheesy one liners after EVERY SINGLE FIGHT is incredibly annoying. I wish that feature could be turned off because it takes away from the immersion of the game.

Many enhancements from the original game, is a must play

The definitive version of a now modern classic that revitalized the JRPG genre when first released. A heartfelt revenge epic and a must-play for JRPG fans.
