I love it, i enjoy just drinking hot water with some honey. the water is always hot. takes a few minutes to heat up but i can deal with it.
the locking part is on the top. the top centre piece pushes down and with the lock it stops extra water from leaving the machine. There are three places to have water leave the machine. the top button circle with the lock, a quick pour button by the red reheat button, and just under the pour spout there is a small button that you can push your mug, or other items under to stop splash back.
It is super easy to clean. and the lid can come off of the machine for easy cleaning.

This is an update 14 months after making my purchase and is a nod to great customer service. I love this urn. It keeps water perfectly hot and the auto dispense is a great feature all during the week. The pump started out as a fantastic feature , easily filling a cup in one or two pumps. But as time went on, the pump lost it’s effectiveness. After 13 months, the pump stopped working. I contacted the customer service department by completing the form on their website. I wasn’t sure what to expect as it was just past a year. Within days I got a lovely email saying they were sending me a new pot and it was shipped to me immediately. I wanted to share my experience as an example of great customer service. And also, it’s a great hot pot!!

First of all, the package arrived earlier than expected. When I opened it I found water in the tank. After further inspection I found spots and prints on the lid. I then inspected the box it came in and found the plastic bag that would normally have had the machine in it. The plastic bag that holds the cord was also loose at the bottom of the package. I bought this item brand new, Amazon Prime. I immediately put in for a replacement.
Now for the pros and cons. I read a review that said there wasn’t a lever to fill cups automatically. At first, I couldn’t figure it out either. On closer inspection I saw that you have to push the cup up on the lever behind the spout. Works fine. A full machine takes about 15 min. to get to the boiling point. After that it stays hot. I refilled my cup about 6 times on a full kettle. On a couple of those fills the water came out slow and sputtery. The water level was still good. The machine is pretty quiet when it boils. The machine is too tall to open the lid when under the cabinet. It’s easy to pull out though. I use a pitcher and fill it with purified water to fill the kettle. I don’t really want to lift the machine into the sink and then lift it back out.
I really like that I don’t have to lift it up to fill a cup. Just pushing a button is so much easier. It’s very convenient for multiple cups of tea. No more nuking the water.
What I don’t like about the machine is that sputtering I mentioned. Why would the water flow slow down so much. The machine wasn’t boiling the water at the time.

Was really excited to try this as I heard good things about the company. Unfortunately, I’m not vey happy with my experience.
When I filled it up and plugged it in to boil, I walked away. When I came back some time later I saw that it had been continuously boiling(ie. It did not automatically switch from “boil” to keep warm.) Half of the water had already boiled out at such a high temperature. Good thing I checked on it before it boiled out all the way!
Customer service replied to my emails that it would stop boiling automatically- obviously they didn’t understand my email!
Now they are telling me “oh. It looks like it may need to be replaced. Send it back to us and we will fix it or send you a new one. ” Well, I’m not paying $20 each direction to send them something that costs $50! Somethibg that they sold me that doesn’t work! Very frustrating!

This is the second time we purchased this kettle. The last one we purchased in 2021 and it was broken last week (nothing to complain). Since the old one was doing quite a good job with a fair price among similar products, we ordered it again. However, the new kettle was damaged upon arrival. Although it does not affect its normal function, it is quite disappointing.

My mom likes to drink her tea. I have been worried about her burning herself using the tea kettle on the stove, so I bought this. It is AWESOME! She always has hot water, and it dispenses into the cup rather than her having to pour it. Large capacity means that I only have to fill it once a day, and even that is just topping it off. The only issue I have is reading the level on the outside. I haven’t found the right angle to look at it so that I can see how much is in there without opening it. Other than that, this has made my life so much easier and safer.

I wanted to switch from coffee to tea, but found that I missed the convenience of always having a hot cup available. With this machine, I found that I could have a mug of tea on demand, without having to wait for a kettle to boil. This pot keeps the water at a temperature that is suitable for all of the teas that I drink. I found that by connecting it to one of those cheap coffee pot timers, I can have hot water readily available for 14 hours a day. The auto-dispense function works very well, so long as you use it while the power is on. The pot is easy to clean, thanks to the removable lid. I don’t expect that a $50 appliance that runs 14 hours per day will last for many years, but if it lasts even one, I’ll be happy.

This was meant to replace microwaving water to make instant coffee. It works great. Keeps water hot at all times. My only complaint so far is that it doesn’t have any temperature control, whatsoever, even though the description and the instructions both make you think it does. It keeps the water REALLY hot. Near boiling. I got some blisters on my lips and tongue from not being careful.
