Possibly the best and safest guitar stand there is! I have 3 of them and after an unfortunate incident with another type of stand, I will not use any other kind but this moving forward.

I just recently am venturing into trying to learn guitar again and bought this for my new Ibanez. It’s no high dollar guitar ($250), but it’s still not a cheap investment and I plan on taking care of it the best I can.

That said, I reviewed quite a few stands on Amazon before settling on this one. I say settled because I do not like buying things sight unseen like any normal person, but you cannot go wrong with the prices on Amazon and they have yet to let me down, which is why I subscribed to Amazon Prime.

When I bought it, it was out of stock (Dec. 21ist) and was supposed to be in stock and shipped on the 26th. Somewhere someone must have stepped on the gas because they received a shipment of them on the 24th and mine was on my doorstep on the afternoon of the 26th.

Now that I’ve gone on about how happy I am with Amazon… This stand is worth the money, and best of all it’s not an expensive one. It’s well padded in all locations where a guitar does and might touch it, its very stable despite being tall and skinny and it has a pivoting catch to lock the neck in place so your guitar can’t be knocked out of it like a typical open neck style stand. My mancave unfortunately has linoleum tile for now, but this stand has good rubber feet to keep it from being able to slide around on the floor.

When it comes shipped, it is folded (duh) and takes up very little space. It takes up just a little more space than any current (or last gen, for that matter) video game console. Extended and set up, it’s almost as tall as my guitar.

Being overcautious I purchased a String Swing as opposed to just storing it in the gig bag until the stand got here. Being a procrastinator, however, and with the busy time of the holidays the Swing never got put up. As things sit, I’m not worried about putting the Swing up because of the sturdyness and stability of this stand.

Sorry for the long winded review, but as you can see I’m very happy with my purchase, even without considering the price, so if you are looking for a stand for your axe, budget in mind or not, just hit “Add to cart” already. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a very good stand.
The spring activated neck collar required both hands for positionning and securing the guitar on the stand. A minor complain, the little lever activating the collar could be padded also.
But it’s really not a big deal, electrician tape or plastic tubing around it can do the job if you feel it necessary. Easy to assemble and to use, very stable, it folds up for storage.
The base and the neck collar are padded. The guitar rests on the base and you can place it vertically near the base or more inclined. The guitar is secure and stable.
The padding is sufficient for protecting your guitar.
It’s more money than most but it’s a very good stand and my precious one is secured and I love it.

I’ve had instruments get knocked over in those cheap stands.
These are as stable as they come.

    *** THE PROS ***

I’ve got quite a few acoustic and electric guitars and I use these stands almost exclusively because they are lightweight, padded, easy to fold open and close, and have a nice securing mechanism in place to keep the guitar in place. Even better, unlike a lot of other stands out there, this one really has a nice stance to it and doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall over.

    *** THE DOWNSIDES ***

Well, the only real downside I can see is the build quality. I bought about 5 of these and when they all arrived, 2 of them, nearly half, had defects. One was twisted/bent and I din’t feel comfortable with it holding one of my guitars. The other one had a defective/broken securing mechanism, again, not worth subjecting my guitars to a possible fall because of it. I sent the 2 defective ones back and got another 2 in the mail. Same problems with 1 of the 2 that I received in terms of a defective securing mechanism.

Given the price, I didn’t feel like returning it so I use it for my cheap guitar. It’s still sturdy, it’s still going to work well, but it’s also still cheaply made. The quality control issues is why I’d give it 4 stars instead of 5. If they can improve on the build quality, it would probably be one of the best stands you can buy… until then, it’s a great stand, but keep in mind, you have a 50/50 chance of getting one with some defects so be prepared to return it for a replacement.

I have several cheaper guiatar stands (the tubular type with a rubber “keeper” that holds the neck in place in the yoke) that cost less than fifteen bucks each at music stores, but the problem with them was that with heavy guitars or larger guitars they were not very stable. insert kids into the equation and my prized guitars were falling over all the time….

I recently purchsed a vintage american made fender stratocaster and thought i should spend a few extra bucks on a quality stand that would secure the guitar in the stand and also be stable.

This stand is solidly built and very adjustable, plus it is rock solid and holds the neck captive very well. no matter how much my kids tried they could not tip over this stand.

I really like the spring loaded collar for the neck. it is easy to open and close and holds the guitar neck no matter what (the cheap stands have that rubber band that holds the neck into the yoke and will easily pop off).. This stand also folds up neatly and compactly for storage or when transporting to a gig. i liked this so much i just ordered 2 more for my other guitars…

Far more stable than my previous stand, sturdy, but lightweight too. Great value.

I have three of these stands and they are holding up well after six years of use. Sturdy and stable, your guitar won’t topple over with this. Get it.
