Howie Wilson –
This cymbal is worth way more that the price point!!! Very affordable and very good quality!!! I love the trashy sound and perfect decay! Fairly quick wash out! I recommend this to anyone who plays Paiste cymbals!
H. Scheibmeir –
I bought this specifically to make a stack with a 17” Wuhan China underneath. Both cymbals sound great on their own, and stacked together on an X-hat stand—great short accent!
deland –
Love the sound! Has a nice trash crash sound with sustain. I’ll proba upgrade to the 18” next
Michael T. –
Amazing. Perfect.

I was on the fence for some time pondering the thought of buying into the hype that is cymbals with holes in them. So I did what I’ve always done and hunt whatever I’m looking for down locally and then go check the item out in person, especially cymbals…
I was blown away by the Paiste PST-X line compared to the other two heavy hitters on the drum block for their superb sound and the affordability. I absolutely love all the thin crash sizes and what they bring to the mix. Don’t hesitate buying this series
Stewart –
It’s a great cymbal but it crack so fast. I would not recommended this to any one
ann melvin –
Paiste is the best!! The quality of their cymbals can’t be matched by any other company
Orange Crush –
Well shoot. I had hoped for this to be the perfect quick decay crash, but for me it’s a bit brash in the context I’m working within. I found this one to be kind of harsh and difficult to control. This might be ideal for metal though. I was hoping for something more akin to the Ozone by sabian, but slightly more trashy. I think the brass mixture is not the same as my other cymbals, which I realize is usually the case with this type of cymbal, but sounded out of place in my context. I have Istanbul and Sabians, all top quality bronze, this one is some other amalgam, has a brushed texture I also wasn’t sure I liked., but still cool in a way. Trashy.
The basic sound is good in a trashy way. But If you lean into this one at all, it becomes a blast of noise which literally seemed deafening. Verrrry bright. I like the effect it creates, a short China-like decay, but the quality of the tone is too sharp for my taste. Well-made, but not for me.
