Ink feels nice, you do have to work with it a little bit but there is promise to these. The white especially. I’ve been looking for a white pen for a while and I may incorporate this one into my artwork. Build quality is strong and feels sturdy. Not flimsy. Clicking is thick and nice. Colour on dark paper is beautiful. The yellow and the white get a little washed out on plain paper (as expected) but the other colours perform beautifully. Great consistency. I love this brand of pens so I was eager to try these out and I love them, along with their other collections.

Was kinda on the fence buying these, ive tried a lot of pens that claim they can work on black or white paper, very few have actually worked. These on the other hand work great, they have a pretty good drying time compared to similar ink. The pens feel so good in hand, not only weight wise, but the finish on the pen is great. Ive been testing these a variety of ways, smearing ink, drying time, color brightness etc.. and they are a w in every category so far. The one downside is when trying to color something in, you have to find the sweet spot, go slow and you should get a nice even color, you will probably have some streaks at first, but youll figure out what way it works best for you. Final thoughts, BUY THESE PENS!

They arrived really fast. The book is just ok as are the pens. The paper is thick and a cool idea and reasonably priced. As for the pens, they were also just ok. They advertise as being a lot brighter then they actually are. The white really fades immediately, and when you try to go back over it, the second coat lifts and both coats kind of cancels each other out. If that makes sense..you have to wait for the ink to dry before going back over it again. The teal was great. The others weren’t impressive. I’m not sure if its the paper or the pens, but writing with them felt scratchy. It wasn’t a nice flow. I’m not sure if this review will help anyone, but I wasn’t overly impressed with either product. Don’t waste your money. I’m copying and pasting for both products with this review!

I just got this pen yesterday and so happy to see the bright vibrant color of the pen body and I can’t wait to try them out. I have more than 300 different kind of pens. So I know if the pen is snooth write or not, I have been doing this long enough to give the best and honest review. The design and ergonomic of the pen is good. The grip is standard. The ink is NOT flowing it’s skipping a lot and its annoying when you write and you have to go back and rewrite. I thought only for the first time after you took the protection ball from the pointer. After half of the printing paper full of testing but ink still not flowing smoothly. It writes soooo badly. Not a fast drying ink so be careful you have to wait until ink dries or it will smear all over. If you write very very slowly the skipping not as bad but still skipping. I wish i can return this and get refund but most of the time if you already open the package and use the items they are not refundable. I am ready to toss this into the trash can. PAPER MATE better fix this.

I love these!!! The pens were a little slow to loosen up at first but after some writing they are smooth and the colors are bright! They look so cool on black paper! They dry a little slower that the others, but it’s totally worth the few second wait!

I usually do like this brand (paper mate) and the ink joy lines overall, but these subcategories of “BRIGHT” do not write well at all compared to regular ink joy pens.

Love these! I use them on a notebook with black paper and the colors are lovely. They are nice to hold and write very smooth. They also dry quicker than some of my other gel pens, and I’ve never had smudging with them.

The colors other than purple are the colors that come with the pack. Unlike the “regular” papermate ink joy gel 0.7 (purple), these don’t write smooth. Which kinda sucks because that’s why I buy this specific brand! The purple is me testing out one of my other paper mate ink joy gel 0.7s to see if I was just tripping or maybe it was the paper but I was not. The feel to me was almost reminiscent to using a mechanical pencil…. They don’t smear, grip is fine, and the color is pretty vibrant I guess. As you can see some color comes out more than others (green, & yellow). Overall if you’re looking for that smoothness we typically get from the papermate ink joy 0.7s this might not be the pack for you… or Maybe I just got an old pack cuz the wax on the tips did look very yellow… Anyway hope this helps.

Paper Mate’s Ink Joy pens have been my go-to pen since they first arrived on the market and I tried them! These are AWESOME!
I love the way they work with both white and black paper! They’re smooth as expected and do an amazing job! I love that I can use them on all colors of paper!
Will definitely buy again when I wear these out!

I love Inkjoy pens, however, this particular batch was just not up to the normal standards that they usually attain. 3 of the 5 pens did not write smoothly at all, and by that I mean the ink was not consistent and didn’t flow while writing. I took them apart and could see that the ink tube had multiple areas of air pockets, which, in my opinion, caused the inconsistency of ink to come out. I love the colors though.

I saw the ad and ran to buy these, I love papermate pens! I’m so disappointed, they are scratchy & blotchy. The only way I can make them work is to press and hold for a few seconds everytime I place pen to paper…. Not practical.
