Good characters, well written. A bit of mystery and lots of interactions between those solving the crime. Enjoyable series.

Como sempre, os livros de Nora Roberts são um deleite. Vale a pena esperar os lançamentos para ver Dallas e Peabody em ação.

For me, there’s no disliking these books. I got into them by accident, loved the one I first bought and now have all 59 books, most in hardcover, one in audio, several in paperback. I absolutely love the story line, characters, back story for the main characters. I get one, I have to force myself to put it aside. Great reading.

Murder is always pointless. For Eve Dallas, this murder is even more than pointless, it’s stupid. A couple about to get married and one of them is killed the night of their bachelorette party. Wce and Peabody so what the are best at and find the killer. I love this series. I really enjoy the characters and their growth and the how Eve and Rorke mesh so well together.

I’ve been follower since the first book. I like when she just does a good police procedural story without too much personal drama/trauma. It is a little repetitive. Also, our writer needs to get up to speed on the latest ways of tracking people’s movements/actions. For example, carrying the case into the club was a big aspect of the story–yet they did not use street cams from various businesses along the route. There is very little movement that happens on city streets that can’t be traced anymore. Also, the murderer stole the victims phone to conceal their interactions. Uhhh…all that data is easily retrieved as it is all stored in the cloud. If she had utilized those two simple tools the case would have been solved in a few hours. Her plots are going to need to be more clever or they are going to become obviously flawed. BUT, still love the series…

I never give Nora a bad review but this one is not as smooth as her usual JD books. It was a good story but at times I felt like I was wading through quick sand. Slower paced.

I’ve read every book in this series and would read them again if I had time. I’m trying to pick another character, that has the insight to find the killer. Maybe a type like the series Monk or Columbo. The second one goes back years. This book kept me wanting more, wanting to figure it out before Eve, but I didn’t. She is so intuitive and fun to read especially when she doesn’t get the colloquialism in conversations. This book has it all, murder, mystery, romance, humor and friendships, that Peabody calls a tribe.

I love this series and enjoy every continuation of Eve and Roark`s story! This last book was interesting, detailed and funny in the right places. It was not as intense as the first books but still captivating which is amazing after 58 books!
