There’s no doubt when it comes to a Pearl hardware being exceptional and this snare stand is no less. Pearl have priced this one at a unique price and have made it at an almost professional snare stand. The height adjustment is very good. Must buy if you are looking for a professional quality snare stand at a good price.
( Don’t hesitate at all when buying this. I made a lot of research on various types of stands before choosing this one. I’ve been playing on a low quality stand for years before I bought this one)

I just needed another stand for a practice pad I purchased. My existing snare stand was a dated, medium quality no-name piece of kit. I have a decent Pearl drum kit, with a mix of various brand stands for cymbals and such. I saw this particular stand at a great price. The reviews were glowing, and it looked high quality so I pulled the trigger.
It is very nice and now supports my pearl snare drum, relegating the old snare stand to practice pad duty. I highly recommend this stand as it is a quality piece of kit. Very happy with the purchase/upgrade!

This stand is yet another great stand from Pearl.
I have many snare drum stands from many different companies. I have the Pearl S830, this one, and an S1030. I have several Drum Craft SS4 and SS6 stands. As well as a low end Griffin I gave a shot to see what an inexpensive stand had to offer (not much BTW).
This stand is well made with great looking chrome and thick sturdy tubes and braces. In addition the Gyro Lock is a great feature that allows for infinite adjustment of the basket angle. The only setup I like better are stands with a ball and socket arrangement. The Gyro Lock is what really sets this stand apart from others.
I also like the basket tips. Unlike others which use plastic on the basket tips these are a type of rubber that allows the drum to resonate and doesn’t choke the drum. Will you really hear the difference? I think that could be debated but it sure doesn’t hurt and it’s nice that Pearl put the thought into it.
This is a great heavy duty stand that should last a lifetime.

This stand is very sturdy, especially for the price. It is adjustable like any normal stand. There are rubber pieces to keep your snare from sliding / to not scratch it or whatever.
Most stands of this quality would usually sell for at least $90-100, so this is the absolute best you can get for that price.

I’m using this as a stand for the DD500 Yamaha Electronic Drums.
It works pretty good for that purpose if not just a little bit unstable.
This isn’t due to any flaw or defect in the snare stand as much as the weight of the electronic drums.
Pearl makes fantastic musical equipment and instruments and this is no exception.
There are adjustments for height and tilt and the mechanisms lock into place securely and feel very solid and well built.
If you are using this for a snare drum or for the Yamaha Electronic Drums, I highly recommend!

I’ve used the 1000 series before and decided to go with this one, as that one is expensive and overkill. I liked it so much, I bought the D version for church and a second one for the studio.
Most snare baskets around $100 just choke the snare, but not this one. I also love the gear-less tilter and fluid height adjustment. After gigs, I’m usually throwing it into the hardware case and it unfolds like new every time after two, almost three years.
Cons: The rubber snare “grips?” are thick. If you’re unwilling to compromise with your snare placement a bit, this is not for you. At first, I would often hit the basket with my knee, but after moving it back a bit, I never had that problem again.
If you’re looking for the best basket money could buy, I’d probably look past the Pearl 1000 series to a different vendor. For the $100 range, this is my favorite snare stand, no competition.

If Pearl doesn’t have a reputation for delivering the best product for money paid, then it SHOULD! Pearl Export, and Decade Maple are the best quality shell packs you can get for the your hard earns. The “low end” Export EXL boasts high end shell construction. I got a set. It’s true. A five piece quality SST built shell pack for under five hundred bucks. Nice!
As for this snare stand, from all reviews here on Amazon, and elsewhere, I’ve read not one negative on the Pearl PS 930. That’s what made me go for it. It’s nice that Pearl can offer a pro-level stand for well under $20 of it nearest competitor. Solid, quality, heavy construction, and no plastic knobs, it looks to be the last snare stand I’ll ever need. For the price, it’s a better than solid deal. Thanks to my Amazon card rewards points… I should be busted for grand theft.
