I have only had this pedal 5 hrs, and have already been able to make it the pedal I’ve wanted my DW bass drum pedal to be for years. For reasons unknown, I had an anti-Pearl bias, and was drinking the DW pedal Kool-Aid. (To be clear, I love DW – have a PDP kit and their other hardware – the ultralightweight line is great, at least for in home set ups!) I was under the impression that this DW pedal was infinitely customizable, so if I couldn’t dial it in, I was just too stupid – which may still be true. BUT! This Pearl Eliminator belt drive is amazing. The heel plate was a recent issue with the DW – changing up my playing style some, and it was uncomfortable immediately – and this is a much more comfortable footplate to hit your heel with – like, totally comfortable. The adjustable cams are awesome. This came with the most extreme one installed – more like the accelerator pedal I was swapping out. Within minutes, I dialed in the cam choice, the pedal hight, and the beater angle. All of which you can do on the DW, but you need more engineering chops than I have, and high heel sneakers. Spring tension is a pretty baseline adjustment, but this has a nice locking feature on the bottom nut of the tension apparatus.

One main point – I like strap pedals. Lots of folks like chain drives (this also comes as that, but I got the belt). Make sure you’re getting the pedal style that suits you.

Long story short, best pedal I’ve owned – so easy to dial in, SMOOTH, and the case is LUXURY. Was not expecting that. No reason to buy a pedal – and probably factors into the cost – but they want you to keep this pedal nice. Thanks, Pearl. Love it!

Super adjustable, 4 different cams to choose from to get the feel you want, sturdy as hell. One of the best pedals I’ve ever used and superior even to my DW5000 single pedal.

I love the strap versus chain. I kept struggling with my dw5000 which is kind of a standard well respected pedal but no matter how much I practice I could never feel comfortable or adjust it to my liking. This pedal has so many adjustments you can make and the strap has absolutely no drag. Its so much easier to work with . I’m extremely pleased with this pedal and I highly reccomend. The 4 different camber give you all kinds of options for adjustment and they are simple to add and remove. Definitely 5 stars.

Nothing wrong with the other one , it’s an industry standard after all. However, this one feels right to me. more natural with a smoother feel.
