this is horible and dangerous. I used 2 days and not even warm but what worse? the unit caught on fire at the selector knob. Luckily we are awake and turn the fire down by cover it with big buckle. Phew. I did not buy this at amazon. I bought this at walmart.

It’s okay. I’m a bit disappointed that it doesn’t work as great as others reviewed it. Because of the great reviews, I purchased it, as a back up when the furnace should stop working. Despite following the directions, it just didn’t give off that much heat. After an hour of steady operation on maximum, the immediate 5ft of space where it stood and the floor beneath was warm, but that was it. Easy to set up and operate, but it’s nothing special. I’ll keep it just in case for use in a smaller room. I’m just not impressed with it as others seem to be. The box states it’s for large rooms, but how large is the question. It didn’t do much for this household.

This Pelonis space-heater works perfectly for a little extra heat in my bedroom (~ 12 x 8 or 10 feet). You can adjust how much heat & it is truly safe without hot, electrical coils, etc. I got this from Amazon, when the temperature went down to 0 degrees & less.

3 years ago I bought the same unit. I just bought another one on 05dec16 and it works like garbage. I have it right next to the first one I bought and they are both on low setting (600) and high thermostat and the new one is ridiculously cold. it doesn’t even get my fingers hot when I hold them on the fins.

This type of heater radiates heat and slowly warms up the room. We tested it in the garage, which can get cold enough to use as a cooler for food.
It takes the chill off. In about half an hour, the temperature was up to 60 degrees.The unit gets warm, too hot to handle, but not a major hazard for an adult. We set it on max and high, so we get the most heat as quickly as possible.

I bought this one a year after purchasing the first one, and both have proven to be reliable and get the job done. I am using one inside of my 14 x 24 garage where I keep my classic car. The garage is well insulated and I keep the heater set on medium on about 3/4 thermostat setting – and it keeps the garage at about 65 – 68 degrees which is comfortable to work in, but I turn it on high while in there. The other heater I bought last year stays in my spa building where the hot tub is in. The front area of this building is 12 x 16, and again – I keep the heater set on medium and about 3/4 thermostat, and it keeps the front room about 70 degrees. I turn up the thermostat a bit before we strip down to get into the hot tub. But both buildings are kept very comfortable during winter time while it’s around 20 – 40 degrees outside. I have nothing negative to say about these heaters, as they function just fine for my needs.
