I previously had a guppy give birth in my main tank and all of the fry ended up being fish food. When I saw my black molly was pregnant, I wanted to do something for the babies that would help them survive but also didn’t want to purchase an entire birthing tank (I’m an amateur fish keeper at best lol). Anyway, I saw that these had pretty good reviews and decided to give them a try. As soon as I installed the grass on the bottom of the tank, the fry fled to them and have been living there peacefully ever since. It has kept them safe for about a week now so we’ll see how long it lasts! I also have the grass floating at the top of the tank and my adult fish have taken kindly to that. I don’t think the fry have ventured to the top yet to try them out. Very happy with my purchase! I have a 10 gallon tank for scale.

Lots of baby guppies to protect was my intent but all the fish love them. The shade alone puts them at ease. The ability for small fish to hide and give them better chance to find food the larger fish miss all worth it. May add these to my koi pond. Highly recommend. Still using live floaters interspersed.

This is a good aquarium fake grass that is soft. I am hoping the next guppies or platies that are born in my three different aquariums will find their way to safety within this grass. I have purchased it twice now.

Please buy this to protect baby fry!!! We have three female platies and one male Platy in a 10 gallon tank, and I think all females are pregnant. I watch the females eat the babies as quickly as they can- google says females are pregnant most of their lives when In same tank with a male?? The little plants float at the top, and the Fry are instantly drawn to them. Within minutes of putting the plant in the tank we found a little baby Frye hiding in it that had survived that we didn’t know was still in the tank. Great product and allows the babies to get away from their certain death. Really smart and inexpensive. Adult fish overlook plant as just another plant. Babies know to go right to it. Looks great and love the natural approach to protecting the young.

I had high hopes for these. My guppies always have fry during the night & they always seem to eat the majority before I can get them into the baby saver basket. I was hoping this product would keep them safe for only a few hours until I could get the fry moved to safety…this did not happen I flipped my light on to find a Frye being chased & no other Fry to be found even with this floating on top of my water. Captured lots of food & other material got stuck on this & I had to scrub out with toothbrush. I removed this from my tank.

We use this hideout grass for our Guppies and so far it works wonders 🤗 we let our fish give birth in the same aquarium with other fish because they are more calmer this way then in the breeding boxes, so this breeding grass is playing a huge part in helping fry survive and hide from other fish!! Really good product, recommend!

I floated the grass on top of the tank . Fry were able to hid from adult guppies. Once I noticed fry in the grass I used a large clear bowl to scoop out grass and fry . And transferred to small tank just for fry. This method has worked multiple times for me. Great product.
