Iโm happy with the size of this feeder. The perches donโt seem very sturdy so Iโm anxious to see how they hold up in the sun. Itโs easy to clean the glass part of the feeder – the petals for feeding, not so much. The hook included for hanging is very small and doesnโt make for easy hanging. My purchase was based on the brand name, price and volume of liquid it holds. Iโm satisfied enough with this feeder to purchase another one.

My hummingbirds love this feeder. I purchased other ones and they hardly fed from it, but with this one, they all congregated to it. On top of that, this feeder is the easiest to clean. Had to buy a second as more birds were coming. Highly recommend it.

I have had these for awhile now. They are large so donโt get them if u donโt have a lot of hummers. But they have leaked every time I have used them. I wanted to like them. I have gone back to my more birds glass brand

I have 4 of these feeders and love them, and so do my hummers. However, I bought a 5th feeder and it arrived without the gasket (the red piece in the feeder base at the top of the photo, the bottom feeder is the new feeder that arrived missing this piece). This feeder can leak if you don’t screw the glass bottle on tightly to fully engage with the gasket. I learned this early on but it is easily fixed if you tighten the bottle to the base. But if there is no gasket to connect with, it won’t hold any liquid. I want to get a hold of Perky Pet and have them send me a gasket but can’t find any contact info. I guess I’m going to have to get Amazon involved. If I receive the gasket, and the feeder works, I will change this review. If I actually have to return the feeder rather than getting a replacement for the missing part, the review won’t be as high.

Perky Pet products are good and last for years.
I don’t know of any hummingbird feeder that is bee proof though.
The orioles use them too plus the finches.
I like the wide mouth as it’s easy to fill and clean.
Also, the ant mote is nice.

This was exactly what I was looking for to replace my older, smaller feeder that finally broke. looks good, good quality, good capacity as I wanted a bit more capacity than the 8 ounces of my old feeder. The problem is that the base holds a lot of nectar so when you fill the bottle, screw on the base, and turn it over, a lot of nectar drops into the base, leaving the bottle right around half full. While it is holding the full 16 ounces, it seems like there should be a way to keep the bottles full, along with the base to maximize the capacity. There is. What I do is fill the base and bottle with nectar. Place a piece of cardboard (a piece of a cereal box or Coke 12 pack) over the opening of the bottle, turn it over (the cardboard keeps the nectar in the bottle), place it over the base, pull the cardboard out quickly, and screw the bottle into the base. Very little spills and I get to use the full capacity of the feeder. A quick rinse just to get rid of any spilled nectar and I hang them up. Not as easy as filling and hanging my old one but it only takes a few extra minutes.

I love this feeder, I have at least 5 or 6 of them, It is easy to clean, it does not leak, and the ports sit high so bees can’t access the nectar, it also comes with a cup uon top you can add a little of water to preven ants from get into the feeder. I mix 1 cup of water with 1/4 cup of white granulated pure cane sugar, and it fills about half of the feeder, in the summer I could finn up to 2 cups.
