This is the best squirrel proof feeder I’ve found. Had one years ago in a house in Chicago and it lasted for years in the cold and snow and used it for years until a spring broke but it kept the squirrels frustrated and away so the birds could eat. We Moved and had a different one that I battled the squirrels with so I saw this one again and bought it! I watched a squirrel come to it and fall off! We have a squirrel feeder too but they like the seed. My chickadees, nuthatches, Sparrows, and titmice all love it! I have made a suet feeder out of the other one and the squirrels don’t like it. I can happily watch my birds now. It’s sturdy, can be adjusted to allow bigger birds to land, you can see when you need to fill it, and it was very easy to fill and hang. Everyone is happy!

This item has a poor design and the “squirrel be gone’ claim is not correct. the cage that moves down when a squirrel gets on it does not go all the way to the bottom of the feeder. The squirrels quickly figure out that if they hang from the bottom, they can easily get the seed because the ports do not close off. Seriously considering sending them back, as they do not work or do what they claim to do.
