Very informative and provoking inquiry. As NatGeo publication is features stunning photos, but what is really great is that complex concepts are easily understandable. Next question: What is causing wind?

These books are great for reading and rereading with kids age 4-8. The pictures are just what you’d expect from National Geographic–they are detailed and colorful and eye-catching. The text is appropriate for this age group both in size and complexity. These are high-interest books. Even adults will likely learn a few new facts.
Kindergarten/Grade 1 students may be able to read some portions aloud with support. Slightly older students may enjoy this book and others in the series for independent reading.

We love this book as well as all the others like it. Theyโre full of great facts, amazing pictures, and cute little jokes. These are littles side notes โfactsโ on most pages reiterating specifics about each individual book as well. We love that each book is divided into sections about about a different animal/type. These are all a great addition to any home library for the animal lover in your family! We use this as part of our homeschool library for the little ones to take control of their own learning environment.

Got this to add to our earth science unit that we will start after spring break. My 8 year old daughter has already read it. Twice. She loves it! Great pictures and reading level.
JShak –
Great book that combines four other Nat Geo titles in one book. This is a fun way to explore some basic topics about how Earth was formed and what itโs made of. My five-year-old especially loves the chapter on the kinds of rock that our planet is made of. Great pictures, simple text, vocabulary call-out boxes and th occasional corny joke keep the text interesting for young readers.

It’s small and has 4 interesting sextions. My son is currently not interested in it. He’s into astrology right now. But I like it
