Lego game with ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ theme

Very abridged version of the story. Fully voiced. Very light hearted and not serious at all. Alloy doesn’t even act like she does in the original series. She’s more charismatic and energetic like a pre-teen going on a new adventure

Great dialogue and writing. Love the quips and one liners from characters. They do repeat after a while, but since there dozens of them it doesn’t really get old or repetitive

    Focus a lot on combat.

Very limited exploration. There’s no hidden path specific characters can interact with. All characters can go access any area. All levels (exception of split path that goes back to the main path) are linear

No environmental puzzles. There are some puzzles on some of the fetch quests around town. I like how it doesn’t have environmental puzzles during levels as those in other lego games really slow down the pace

There is only major currency in the game, studs. Greatly appreciated, I don’t like it when games have multiple different currencies. Seeing there’s only one major one, you have to pick-and-choose what to spend it on: character cosmetics, town cosmetics, or on your skill tree. Studs are very easy to get just by playing, the only issue to time spend trying to get them.

4 characters to play. 3 are unlocked via story progression

Up to 2 players. You can play online with a friend who also has the game, but there’s no cross-play. between Switch and PC. No split screen. If both characters are too far away form each other; player 2 teleports to player 1

You can dress characters how you like via studs. Aside from fetch quests, all cosmetics don’t have special abilities

Only can play one character per level, can’t switch midway through unless you exit out and start over.

There are no character specific puzzles while in levels

    You can customize your town.

Combat revolve around a basic attack/charge attack, traps/gadget, character specific special moves
The latter two is resource driven by pickups you find in environment , chests, or dropped by enemies

For some reason there’s no doge roll button

There’s a level up system. You get perks for reaching certain milestones

Skill tree perks can be unlocked by using studs. They give perks to all party members

Platinum PSN trophy is very easy obtain, you don’t have to 100% the game to get it. The only major one that takes a long time are ones where you must max level all characters. This can be a few hour grind. If you’re solo player, best to use another controller and go to option and put invincibility cheat on. Since there is exp share it levels 2 characters at the same time without splitting the difference.

Overall, The combat isn’t very deep, but the in-game dialogue and unlocking trophies is fun (aside from the end-game grind

Beautiful visuals , but absolutely not worth the price . My 7 year old started it on Friday night for a couple hours and finished it Saturday by lunch . Now it’s a paper weight .

I love Lego games and have played many – I was SO disappointed in this game. It isn’t like all the previous ones and I do NOT like the changes. I will never buy a game again as soon as it is released – beware.

First I love Horizon series. I played and platinum the 2 main games + extension.
I also own the VR version that I’m yet to finish and even have the Lego Horizon Tallneck model.
I own and played 90% of all the Lego games as well.
Now this game: I wanted to love it, but…
Pro: Beautiful graphics, great animation, fun dialogs, nice music
Cons: Super repetitive, not much challenges and all levels looks the same – I mean 2 exploration sections, one vendor, one or two more sections finishing by the “boss”. Rince and repeat.
By exploration, there’s not much. Very linear, you won’t get lost.
TT Games had more interaction, find the secrets, etc.
I will still finish the games and get that platinum, but this will be a grind….
