If you’re searching for bottles and looking through the different types and different types of lids, just be aware that while this is a great high-quality bottle in all other regards, the suction from the tip of the lid is EXTREMELY strong, making a very loud noise and almost hurting my lips to drink from. Being able to squeeze the bottle helps a little, but otherwise, your only choice is to have the bottle suction your lips tightly and make extremely loud kissy sounds every single sip of water. And if you take the lid off, the opening of the bottle is so small that the other end of the opening hits your nose, so you can’t comfortably drink from it with the lid off either. I was looking for a versatile bottle that I could take on the go but also have with me during class to drink, and this bottle is so loud every sip that having it in a calm or quiet place or a classroom would not work at all. This is likely common to similar bottles of this type, so it is not at all the fault of the manufacturer (which is why I’m not taking off stars) but for the situations I wanted to use it in, it was unusable.

Works perfectly as a sports bottle. The insulation is very thin and only keeps the liquid a little bit cooler for a short time. I think it insulates your hand from the cold bottle more than keeping the liquid cold but any more insulation and the bottle would be big and bulky. i use it primarily while in-line skating and have no problem drinking from it while on the move. And, yes, it is made in USA.

We took this on vacation to have water on hand. I prefer non plastic water bottles, but for travel, lighter ones are the way to go. This worked well for our purposes. It was average in keeping water cold as are most of these–not overly impressive, but good enough. The strap is handy and the design is attractive.

Most Florida amusement parks allow water bottles which is important especially during these economic times. The parks provide free ice and water stations to fill. These bottles do a great job in keeping water cool long enough till the next fill. They are rugged, easy to carry with handle, and use. All the essentials needed for the park. I do long distance biking (6-7 hours at a stretch) in Florida. It tends to be hot (mid 90s) here. I fill the bottle up with ice and then just before I leave, I top it off with water. It stays cold for maybe 2 hours, by that time, the ice has completely melted. It’s room temperature by 3 hours. They seal great and are super easy to clean and carry as long as it’s for a short period of time or it’s not screaming hot outside.

I don’t know the difference between insulated and non-insulated (as far as how cool they actually keep my water compared to non-insulated bottles), but they are durable, easy to clean, easy to grip and handle and great water bottles for the money. In my mind, if it’s deathly hot out, they can only do so well to keep you water cool (so drop a couple ice cubes in before you leave for your ride), and if it’s cool out – you water will stay cool.
