I do karate and was looking for a way to train without my watch. Which I can’t do in Karate. I also didn’t want to wear a chest band. I found this product and wasn’t expecting a whole lot but it is really great. I can barely notice the arm band, doesn’t slip off, it is accurate and the app is good. The only bad thing is that the app UX looks like the 80’s . Hope they update it.
Also realized that the Barcelona soccer players are using it. Why don’t they advertise this? I don’t know.

Stays put on my arm and shows the changes in my heart rate right away. Just what I needed to keep track of my heart rate during my workout. Knowing my heart rate allows me to up or decrease workout intensity as needed.

To preface, I am a physical activity researcher and am testing various activity trackers for our next project. I bought the Verity Sense after I got the Polar Ignite 2. I was not happy with the responsiveness of the wrist-worn HR monitors. They do an okay job tracking HR averaged over a longer time (like 1 minute), but not too responsive if you are doing 30s interval type of training where the HR can change quickly. I thought that was the limit of the optical technology and was ready to buy a Polar chest strap (the industry gold standard). However, I read another review here on Amazon showing graphs of how closely this model tracks with the chest strap sensor so I have to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The Verity Sense, when worn on the upper arm as instructed is really responsive and accurate. I can do 30s intervals on a bike and it will track the HR without delay. Even during a vigorous run with fast arm movement (12km/h or 8 min-mile pace), the tracking doesn’t skip a beat. The band is comfortable and does not slip. It doesn’t have to be super snug to work. The signal can also be picked up by most gym equipment without the watch. Overall I am very satisfied.

I have a TRUE treadmill that uses a Polar heart rate monitor. I use the Polar Chest Strap for the treadmill and it works fine. Since I use a WAHOO brand arm heart monitor for everything else, I thought I would try the Polar Verity Sense for my True Treadmill.
The Wahoo heart rate monitor is easy to use. You simply sync it to your devise and off it goes. Never had an issue for over 4 years. Not the case with this overly complicated piece of junk Verity Sense.
The developer of this product should be fired. If the goal was to create on overly complicated, must sign up for the App, Agree to allow Polar to use your personal info, product then they succeed.
With todays technology and ease of use this thing is a complete joke. You must sign up for the app to be able to us it. Well I did since I paid almost a hundred dollars for it. However, the thing did not work on my True Treadmill. The only product ( polar) that my treadmill is suppose to work with, would not work.
Rather then take a sledge hammer to this piece of junk, ( I almost did) I sent it back. Thank god for Amazon. Return was even easier than using this trash.
Look, it may monitor your heart rate real good if it works for you, but my advise is to check out the Wahoo arm Heart rate monitor. Compare them both and you will see that Wahoo is a much better product. Cost is about the same so no break there. But after four years of using the Wahoo arm heart rate monitor, I can say it monitors heart rate very accurately and is reliable.

When you’re north of 60 the less “technology” the better.
This thing is simple to use. It works. And it stays on Mt arm.
Period.
High fives all around.

The band is wipeable and works well with multiple patients per the staff currently using it. You do have to download the app on a device but it registers well in live time and gives good feedback. We will probably purchase a second for the office

It is accurate. I don’t see any difference compared to Polar H10 monitor. Compared to chest strap it is less finicky No need to moisten the sensor nor worry about proper positioning. One feature I really like is that it is rechargeable and you can see when it needs recharging on the app. Wearing the monitor on your upper arm is much more comfortable than a chest strap.

I finally wore out my old Wahoo chest strap heart rate monitor. I went and started my research on all the new products out there. I settled on the arm HR monitors, rather than the chest monitors. To shorten this up, I narrowed it down to three. Of the three, the Polar seemed to have the best accuracy, and had better bluetooth connect-ability should I need it. The other two had much better battery life and were less expensive by $10 and $20. The other two also were easier to recharge.
I decided on the Polar, as the reviews were excellent. People seemed to like the bicep and forearm wearing capability. Very comfy. I agree. I wear it on my forearm and forget it is even on my arm. Not sure how people test, but it also was the most accurate according to what I read. I do have a couple complaints, but they are not deal breakers. First, to recharge the unit, you have to unsnap it from the band, and insert it into a USB type charger, made just for this Polar unit. The little charging unit is so small, I am afraid I am going to lose it. Other HR’s just magnetically snap on while still on the band and charge the unit. Second complaint, and it is very nitpicky, is batter life is only about 20 hours. The others out there had up to 30 and 40 hours. One last thing. The on/off button has three modes, so you have to be careful not to put it into one of the other modes, as it will not work. I always check to make sure it is registering on my watch and bike computer.
Summary:
Pros:
Accuracy, comfort, super fast and easy syncing, works terrific (I use it on ANT+ with a Garmin Vivoactive 4, and Garmin 500 bike computer at the same time. Also syncs to my Apple iPhone 11 bluetooth easy)
Cons:
Battery life is 20 hours, must detach unit to recharge, recharge USB unit is tiny and easy to lose, must be careful with on/off button as it has three modes you can accidentally put the unit into.
Summary: I think this unit is a step above the competitors, even though it has a couple cons. I recommend it.
