This is the third vehicle I’ve installed a set of replacement brakes on. The only reason I didn’t rate this 5 stars is the hole drilled into the rear rotors for adjustment of the parking brake does not exactly match the hole in the wheel hub. The pads, hardware, and rotors fit perfectly. Installation was not difficult, but if you have never done a brake job before, watch instructional video beforehand.

Our 4Runner is close to 100k miles and the OEM rotors are warped. Figured it was time to replace them, so went ahead and ordered this kit after watching some videos. Made in China (no surprise) but the parts looked good & fitment is perfect. Went about the install slowly, taking my time & double checking things, and cleaning things up along the way. Took the truck out and did the break in procedure per the instructions – all good. Wife took the truck out today to run errands and said everything is great … no more vibrations when braking. 5 stars for now. Hoping that these provide trouble-free performance for the next 50K miles or more.

I bought this complete kit (rotors/pads for front and rear) for my 22’ Lexus GX460.
At around 40k miles my vehicles front brakes were already measuring 2-3mm and the rears were at 4mm. I decided to buy this kit and replace the stock brakes because I wasn’t happy with their longevity. The stock brakes performed well for the first 30k miles but I notified a significant decrease in their performance from 30k to 40k miles. It was taking longer and longer to stop the vehicle and it required a significant amount of pressure to be applied to the brake pedal. The GX does weigh a good amount 5k+lbs and I routinely have it loaded up with gear and a dog (first responder).
Fast forward I purchased and installed the kit around 40k miles and have since traveled roughly 2k miles with them. The performance is incredible. After break-in the brakes are quiet and bring this heavy body on frame SUV to a stop so quickly I thought I was behind the wheel of my old VW GTI. They require so little brake pressure that I have to be careful as to not spill my coffee. I would 1000% recommend these to anyone with a large body on frame vehicle (SUV or truck) for their increased performance. There is absolutely zero brake fade even when descending 8-9% grades. I do not tow so I cannot comment on their performance in that aspect, but what I can say is that even with 4 people and all their gear inside for a weekend getaway these will not let you down.

I purchased this product as initial diagnosis to tackling a high speed braking steering wheel wobble on my 2014 4runner. I like the rotors finish, pads also have the rubber gourmet and clips, and they look built with quality. It had the E clips for the front pads, but I reused the oem C-clips, just due to preference. Installation is straight forward and easy. Packaging that the item came with is just right to protect the rotors. After break in phase, I am very satisfied and happy to report, high speed braking steering wheel wobble cannot be replicated, problem solved. The pads are silent and no vibrations from rotors. So much lesser braking distance compared to the stock oem. I will come back to report how durability is, sometime in the future, but right now, 5 stars! You did your job Powerstop! Sticker set included with the item also tricked out my toolbox! More power to you. Thank you.

so.. 61500 ish on the truck, i put these on around 30000 ish. so they did what the original brakes did so far. my first 4runner (a 2004) needed brakes and calipers every 15000. at 30000 this truck needed rotors and pads, at 60000 it needs just pads (or so i am told, going in 05/12/2021). i got the powerstop pads this time since they did what the oem did. i dont know about you but every time i replaced the first set of brakes i used to get about 1/2 of what i got on the first set. heck i even got 85000 on one set but this is heavier truck so 30000 on a second set is great
i highly recommend… heck powerstop if you want to send some decals i will proudly display them on my rear window

50000 oil change. Still at 7mm which is still considered green by Toyota. Guessing last guy got it wrong. Still pleased. No warp. Great ride. Looks like I can just replace pads. I have about 20000 on them. And they are at or just over half life. They stop incredible. Absolutely love these.

just got the 45000 oil change and the brakes are at 10 mm front and 8 mm rear. guessing the guy last time lied, this guy spent more time and i watched him measure. i have about 15000 on them now (give or take, i have the mileage written down somewhere), but they should exceed the original brakes and it looks like i can reuse the rotors next time too, so overall, they will of saved me 1000 for 2 brake jobs

just got an oil change and they measured the brakes, i have about 7000 miles on the brakes and they measured in at 9mm. new they are about 11.5, so 2mm for 7,000. i should get about what i got on the oem originals. maybe slightly less. and again i did up the tire size and went with lt’s. i should be able to just replace the pads next time too, so overall, they saved me a lot of $$$$

ok, I gotta admit, the stopping power is a lot better. they grab easily and sooner than the older brakes. if you ever drove a Toyota you know how well the brakes grab, and these are that much better. higher pedal height, overall very happy so far. they appear to be wearing well. I will have an update in about 4000 miles at next service, I did however go with an LT tire, and up one size
don’t know about longevity yet, but I will update that over time. just got them installed, yes the pins are the wrong size, so I also ordered them. the mechanic said these are the best possible brakes I could get (and he is a Toyota guy). I did the break in as described and they seem to be grabbing quite well. they did smoke during the break in process.
the truck rides much nicer, no more little shake. if I get 20k out of these its worth it, with installation its still 40% less than the dealer.

The first set didn’t last long. I hope these are better on my 2012 4Runner. They were smooth until they warped. We drive in the mountains of Western North Carolina so they get tested daily!!!

Easy to install, no issues with factory callipers, although I would recommend upgrading to power stop callipers as well to avoid issues with seized pins on the factory Toyota callipers.

Bought for my 2017 Toyota 4Runner and it stops much nicer than OEM and other aftermarket brakes I’ve tried before. I have a lot of added weight in steel bumpers, skid plates, roof racks, winch, etc, and it brings it back to near factory stopping power. Whether you have a stock vehicle or one with added weight (I probably have +700lbs over factory), this kit will stop you effectively.
