These take forever and a day to charge but, they will last just as long as it takes them to charge. I use these in some of the devices I employ for mobile video recording and interview captures. They work will to power some of my LED devices. No charging or discharging issues. Recommended.

Just received these batteries the other day It’s hard to tell how they will perform after several cycles of charging over time. That being said I am impressed with the performance. My Atomos Ninja Blade recording at 1080p ran for over four hours with one battery, no issues and had left over power reserves.
So far both batteries are charging to full capacity no problem and they fit the Ninja battery bays with a nice solid connection. There is a bit of a down side batteries like this take longer to charge. A battery discharged down to 20% took me about 11 hours to fully charge on my Atomos charger. Granted this is not a rapid charger it takes 3 hours to just charge my small NP F570 2600 mAh battery which is less than one third the capacity of these NP-F970 8800 mAh batteries. No doubt a better charger would improve the charge time duration. Batteries weigh about 10oz each the Ninja can hold two batteries so can get quite heavy. Probably not a good idea to stick this on your camera hot shoe. For now I’m giving them 5 stars very pleased with my purchase.

After using these batteries for a few weeks, I felt they were running out of charge surprisingly fast. So, I compared them to my 2600mAh batteries, and while the 2600mAh batteries lasted about an hour, these 8800mAh batteries didn’t even last twice as long. Like other reviews have stated, I’d say they’re closer to the 5000-6000 range. Other than the capacity difference, the batteries are a great price for what they are.

The other problem I had, and this may be dependent on what device they are used for, but these batteries do not fit exactly right into the slot on the LED light panels that I use. They are often shifting the tiniest amount, causing the lights to shut off, or just fall out completely. My other batteries have never faced this issue, so I am not sure if it is every iteration of these specific batteries or if I just got a bad batch.

Update: After posting this review, I was emailed by support regarding my issues and was offered another set of batteries to see if it was my specific set that was having problems. While the battery life remained similar, the new set did not have the issue of “locking in” loose to my set of lights. They fit snug and did not move even when shaken, so I believe it was just bad luck on behalf of my first set. Overall though, I was not at all expecting such great customer service and have increased my rating by 1 star because of it. I would definitely buy from here again.

I bought this make from this vendor for one reason. I needed batteries of this type, immediately, and this could be delivered the next morning.

If they had worked only somewhat I would have been served.

In fact they work GREAT. Fully charged they have fabulous life. I am thrilled with performance. Only odd thing is my Sony chargers have difficulty reading state of charge when charging. I thought were faulty but voltmeter said were full. And they lasted longer than my older Sonys.

I have a few things that use this battery, and they last quite the long time. They are heavy, they are bulky, and I believe they’re using 6 cells in them, I think that’s how many I counted on the one I accidentally ran over. Which on that note, yeah the battery was destroyed as about 1200lbs ran over it, but 4 of the 6 cells survived without damage, that’s impressive and speaks to the build quality. Also the damaged cells didn’t explode, so that was interesting. I don’t know if my Highlander’s tires could handle that explosion. Since I don’t trust dealer tires on cars.

BUT back on point, I bought it for my little 7in monitor for cameras, and whatnot, my ZOOM F6 (which it’s really tricky to put on that device and practically doubles its weight, but that’s ZOOM’s fault for making the area to work in so tight), and some studio lights have support for two of them. So, this DEFINITELY ticks the value, amperage, and function for the money. Durable, inexpensive, and they have so many different “flavors” too. Like one that sacrifices 1A for an LCD read out. Will buy again. I also bought the ravpower version, which were near the same price for half the longevity as these. But you can buy this capacity with charger for like $50 and it’s a nice charger. Love finding obscure quality companies like this.
