Very pleased with this pressure cooker. Just the right size for two people.
My only observation which could be a negative is the way the handle is fixed to the main body. A stainless tab which is threaded is spot welded to the base. If this tab becomes detached then the lower handle would become detached and would be very difficult to rectify.
We have used our pressure cooker regularly for several months and been very pleased with how easy it is to use.
As the base is heavy stainless steel this pressure cooker is not subject to failure should it run dry of liquid while cooking.

Very good product and very satisfied with the items

This pressure cooker appears to be very well made, and has a highly polished chrome finish. I have two other pressure cookers, 6QT and 8QT, and I must say this 4QT comes to pressure very quickly, in just a few minutes. The pan is about 3″ deep, and the lid adds about another inch to the height. Three chicken leg quarters, cut into thighs and drum sticks fits into it easily, but I could have put fourth in with no trouble at all. Unlike the 6&8 quart which have a pressurized safety locking pin on the lids, this one does not. And unlike the 6&8 quart models this one is a whole easier to clean up, which means I will probably be using the 4QT all the time. I like it alot and would recommend it to anyone.

My two other pressure cookers are cylindrical and accommodate stacked inserts (so I can use them to pressure-cook several items at a time). This pressure cooker is a pressure pan, not designed for stacked inserts. I knew this when I bought it so I was not disappointed, although like other reviewers, I found this pressure pan somewhat smaller than expected. But it’s a great size for about 2-3 cups (uncooked) of most dals. I like that you can prepare your sauces or spice base, add the uncooked lentils and water, and cook the whole thing directly in the pot. It also comes to full pressure very, very quickly. Overall very sturdy and cleans nicely in my dishwasher.

Good solid product, however after first use I the lid handle became wee bit loose so I had tightened it myself with screw driver. All goes back to assembly line quality control. Overall nice pressure cooker. Price is a little higher. π

We have been using Prestige cookers for generations. The last one at home in USA i had bought it in 2010 and worked extremely well. It was old so my wife ordered a new one. Within few days of operation the safety value opened. There could be two reasons, one being actually there was a problem other being, which is most likely bad design. We used it in normal conditions as we have been using for decades. I am shocked to see bad quality from Prestige cooker. Now i ordered three spares

The stated capacity of 5 litres was false, it only has a capacity of 4 litres even the manufactures stamp at the base of the cooker states it’s 5 litres, the item was returned!! Very disappointed!!

This might seem expensive but is so worth it!

Smaller that I expected, they measure the volume including the amount taken up by the lid when closed. so much smaller than expected.

Nice and INDUCTION top possible .
con:
MAJOR SAFETY NEED TO BE FIXED.
as everybody keep the pan on oven to heat , if you are using it just for frying, the bottom handle plastic melts and become lose to the whole handle assembly.
If the bottom is shackie and not fitting as whole assembly it is uneasy to tight the whole assembly which can cause whole safety issue in pressure cooker.
The designer need to keep a soft metal between the main stainless steel and plastic handle so the heat is not transfer to plastic handle also soft metal (non-heat conducting metal) help the screw to tight.
Indian engineers thing ahead ever you tested on oven top? Any women engineer working in your design team? Designing pressure cooker is not like buggie outsourced code which blow the server. This is safely issue of family.

It was given to someone as a gift so we found about the damage after the 30 days return window. So now we are stuck with a broken piece of pressure cooker. It was a waste of money. I love prestige pressure cookers and I have a similar one in great working condition. However this product we bought for a friend did not meet the expectations.
