The cats that don’t need to be eating this food want to eat some of it even though they have different food, I’m thankful that the one who needs it eats it!

I have bought this product multiple times as I don’t have a lot of selection where I live when it comes to urinary care food.

My guy really likes this stuff. Too bad it is not a staple in Pet Stores. Amazon came through though.

Like most other reviewers will tell you, if your cat has urinary tract issues, GET THIS. Not only is it pretty cheap (somewhere between $16-$20 for a 24 count; it seems to fluctuate), but it completely eliminates urinary tract crystals. Now, I’m no vet, so take this with a grain of salt. I’m simply another satisfied customer with fantastic results from switching to this food for my cat. You won’t find a better deal for urinary tract health food out there, with much of it costing 2-3 times as much. Of course, if your vet prescribes something, listen to your vet, but barring that (or if you want another type of food to supplement with), this is your answer. Hell, I used to just give this to my cat on the weekends and that alone seemed to solve her problems (she was on Blue Buffalo dry food during the week). But after over 6 months accident free, it happened again and I decided to use this full time. No issues since then (it’s been close to a year now). Whether this becomes supplementary or a complete replacement for your cat’s diet is up to you and your cat, but I can personally attest to its success.

It’s also worth mentioning that my cat LOVES this food. When I just fed her on weekends, I could literally see her disappointment whenever I went back to dry food on weekdays. In fact, it got to the point where she would refuse the food outright at first (but eventually ate it because, well, she was hungry). I’ve even tried other wet foods with her and while she’ll eat them, she always seems more hesitant. This, on the other hand, I can’t even get into her bowl without her trying to wriggle between my legs or nudge my hands out of the way to get at it. Impatient is an understatement.

Save yourself the trouble of constantly washing sheets, cushions, and carpets, and save your cat the pain and stress that comes with urinary tract issues. Just give this a try at least. I’m only so adamant because I love my cat and I suffered with her through all the complications of this for nearly a year before getting a proper diagnosis from a vet and finding the answer in this food. If you love your cat as much as I love mine (I’m sure you do), then I know how important finding a solution to this can be both for your cat’s health and well-being, but your own. No one wants to wash sheets at midnight when you work the next day because you waited too long to check for accidents, and no animal should rightly suffer just to endure normal bodily functions.

    ***UPDATE***10/18/16***
Today I received a new case of the UTHF Chicken Entre that I ordered on 10/16/16. I opened the first can and it is different from previous cans/cases- it’s much more liquidy – the texture is different (less chunky, more ground) – the smell is similar, but not exactly the same. The worst part is that he won’t eat it! I opened a 2nd and 3rd can- hoping there were just a few odd ones, but they are all the same. I still had 1 can from the previous case, so I opened it and, sure enough, he dug right in. What has happened??? Did I get a case that’s from the bottom of the batch or has the formula changed? Do I shell out for another case and hope it turns out okay again? This is really frustrating. I’d love to know if anyone else has had this same problem.

    ***Original Review***
This Pro Plan UT formula has not only been a HUGE hit with my 7 y/o feline friend, it has made a noticeable improvement in his overall health. Because he is an indoor cat, urinary tract issues are my main concern as he gets older. I transitioned him to this formula about 2 months ago and I’ve seen an improvement in his energy and appearance. Best of all, he LOVES it!! Dinner time has become a much more anticipated event. He’s always had the chicken variety, so I tried the whitefish in my last order. It was a total BOMB – DUD – NO SALE…! He absolutely wound not touch it. So, it’s back to the chicken. I’m afraid he will get tired of it, but maybe not. I don’t want to get stuck with another case of food he won’t eat, but I’d like to at least test out the other couple of available flavors. My usual shopping destinations (Kroger, Target, etc…) don’t stock it and I’ve checked a couple others without success. My next plan is to try a big chain pet place. I’m hoping to find it sold by single cans and get one of each variety to test his highness’s opinion. All cat owners (aka their “staff”) know how that is. It’s just part of the joy- or so I tell myself. But, the bottom line is that this food has proved both popular and beneficial and I’d certainly recommend it.

I buy all my Pro-Plan Urinary Tract Cat food at a pet store – 24 3oz cans for $57 with taxes in – I used to get it here for around the same price. This is very unfair. You have doubled the price. I did call Amazon about this. Never Never will I buy from Amazon Pro-Plan again. Amazon said they would look into this. It appears they have not.
