High quality machined. I’m glad I got brand-name chainring bolts for a few extra bucks. Saves me from having to replace my crank set from stripped threads
Triple Bogie –
I bought this to use for a Shimano Saint bashguard that came with a 42T chainring. I bought the Shimano Acera crankset here and removed all the chainrings and added the bashguard and 42t to it. I had to dremel the bashguard a little to fit in the Acera spider arms. Just mark and do it slowly and evenly and it will fit like a glove. These bolt did the trick as I needed longer ones. If using the Saint bashgurad, make sure t comes with the copper or brass looking top hat sleeves that fit into the Saint bashguard holes. Without the sleeves, these bolts will fall through the hold and not work. I am happy I found these and compare to others I seen, the price was far better and the quality is excellent. Rate this 5 STARS

These turned out to be worthless in practice, since the slot for installation and removal stripped, causing me hours of wasted time attempting to remove them all, especially since I never was able to get the last one apart and had to take it to a shop to be drilled out. Instead of these I then paid a bit more to get some decent Truvativ chainring bolts that use hex keys in each side for supereasy installation and removal — with no chance of being stripped out.

My husband purchased these RaceFace Chainring Bolts for his new bicycle. His feedback is as follows: “I will preface by saying I am a novice at bicycle mechanics. I had ordered a 165mm crank assembly which had a 104 BCD spider, but no chainring. I learned I would need chainring bolts to attach the chainring as they are specially designed for the application. In fitting a 40t chainring to the crank I had purchased, I found these are not really as long as they should be for my crank spider. The nuts need to be longer to engage more fully into both the chainring and spider. The spider arms are relatively thick. The nut is just long enough to barely engage the spider once they are inserted from the opposite side of the chainring, but I am a bit concerned they might not hold up to the stress once I begin riding it routinely. They are nice quality chainring bolts, and maybe my issue was not selecting ones that were long enough. I ordered them before I had the crank assembly. Perhaps the crank I purchased has unusually thick spyder arms with no countersinking for the screw head or nut flange, which would have helped a lot.”

Good stuff

This bolt pack is perfect if you’re running a two ring setup with a bash guard. One thing to note, the description says “silver”, and the pictures show both black and silver, but I received the black set (which I preferred). Just something to keep in mind if you are dead set on silver.

Purchased a bashguard and the old bolts were too short. These fit perfectly.

The green locktite that is on these from the factory caused 2 of my bolts to freeze up before i ever got them all the way tight, the 2 that i di get all the way tight were impossible to remove and i had to drill them out. They did have the Raceface logo stamped in them. I went back to my stock originals

BUYER BEWARE: These are NOT at all as described: They are NOT Race-Face branded (as is shown in the product image). The threaded M bolt is shouldered and NOT fully threaded (as shown in the product image). The M threaded bolt is more like 11.5mm (not 12.5mm) and the F nut is 9mm. And the bolts are NOT steel (as is listed in the product description. Bought twice thinking I made mistake, but the company sent the incorrect item twice. That said. It was an easy and free return, so other than frustration, no harm done.
