Fenimore –
Recommended by my son’s bass guitar teacher – useful as it has basic “real” bass lines for many popular songs from decades and decades of music! It’s not always the most accurately done in terms of music notation, etc., but it’s not all that difficult to figure out what you’re supposed to be doing to make the song work, either. Even if it’s a musical piece with which you are totally unfamiliar — a lot of these songs are before my kid’s time, for example — this book is a great resource for getting to know the hits of various eras. Great for any bass player who wants to work toward joining a group, or who just wants to be able to “noodle” well.

If youโre looking to take your jAzZ to the next level and really learn some good tunes, get this book ASAP. Difficulty level is just perfect for anyone. There is a massive range of practically endless charts to sightread and improv off. There is a YT channel called โBackingtracks JAZZโ with almost every backing track to each chart, which I found very helpful. This book is a 10/10 for practice material that will help you improve in every way

This is the book to have. I have the bass clef for me, because I play bass, my son has the treble clef, and I own another treble clef, and a digital copy, so that I can have them when I’m jamming with others. this has so many jazz standards and is a great place to pick songs to work on. I have started a group that jams every other week, and we’ll offer a free concert at the end of the quarter, based on the songs from this book. I love it!

Ottimo, ben scritto e chiaro

This book is incredible! It has so many Jazz Band song favorites! Well worth the price! Unfortunately, it only has the 1 instrument per book, but the investment would be worth it if you got one or two per section. Would recommend!

Shipped very Quick.
As for the book: I once was a pretty decent trombone player, and now trying to get back into it. I have friend who plays piano and recommend I grab this book so we can play together. I can’t read treble clef so reading off his copy was a non-starter.
This book has a great selection of tunes and they all have chord changes written in too so you can solo/jam if that is your skill level. For me I’m mostly starting off with ballads and working my way up as my skills come back. For me this is perfect. Huge selection of great songs of varying skill levels so there is room to grow with this book.
Only complaint is the paper quality isn’t great, it’s a little on the transparent side so songs bleed through to the page your reading off of. This is really a minor complaint that doesn’t bug me at all, but might bother some folks.
