Used in a truck that tows a lot and the tranny is always smooth now!

Awesome. Built 5EAT shifts like a DC and downshifts less jarring. Just under shockproof visco.

Honestly I have used most synthetic oil products out there at one time or another, and this has been my first choice for ATF for two trucks and 200k miles now, it always shifts smoother and better even under a load, while running cooler with pan temps about 120-140 usually. This is the only one I’ve tried that actually makes the transmission feel better even as a partial fill. Will definitely be trying this next I time do my TransAm’s 6 speed that calls for ATF and will update this after I do

I use this in a 30:70 combination with Redline D4 in my 2011 Subaru Outback 3.6R Power Steering System. The power steering rack is tucked up under behind the engine oil pan and right next to the exhaust manifolds. Zero airflow over the steering rack and very minimal out by the ball joints. A disaster for thermal management and it’s fairly easy to see why the OEM fluid gets REAL DARK inside of 15,000 miles. The entire system only holds .7 liters. That’s TINY. Oh, And there’s no PS cooler.
So, you’ve got a recipe for burnt fluid, stressed parts, and reduced system life. You can feel it when the system gets used in traffic on a warm day. It will start whining, steering assist is greatly reduced and feels like it pulsates, etc.
Moving to Redline D4 mostly fixed these issues except for the hot days of Texas summer. So, mix in about 30% of this Redline High Temp ATF and, BOOM. Steering feels like absolute butter; literally better than new. Zero whining, ever…. No matter how hot it gets. No more dropouts in Steering assist. Oh, and due to the very high viscosity index of 188 for D4 and a world-beating 220 for the High Temp ATF, 20 degree F mornings made zero extra noises and only showed a slight increase in steering effort for the first few minutes of driving. Subtle; not unlike when you have your tires slightly under-inflated. So, for my climate, there is zero downside and I’ve found my elixir for the Subaru’s power steering!!
*NOTE: viscosity index is the difference in viscosity between hot and cold temperatures. The larger the number, the bigger the difference. Higher is better, here. Mineral based fluids will struggle to exceed 150-160. Synthetic blends may get into the 170’s when they are new (but they will shear down with use and the VI will drop quite a bit, getting thicker when cold and thinner when hot; the opposite of what you want). To exceed 180, you need a full synthetic. To get above 200, you need some world class engineering, ultra high quality base stocks, and serious additive packs. VI can be used as a categorical proxy for the quality of an ATF fluid.

If you have a recent year Subaru with an automatic you know how finicky the trans can be. After much trial and error on my part I have found this to be an excellent fit for this car. I have recently been doing trans fluid changes using Valvoline Max Life ATF after reading good reviews and seeing that it was recommended as a replacement for Subaru ATF-HP. After the changes however, I noticed the shifting was much more harsh and the transmission a bit louder as well. It was at this point that I did some research and found that the Max Life ATF is quite a bit thinner than the stock Subaru fluid. Looking for some thicker ATF to offset this I came across the Red Line High Temp ATF and decided to give it a try. Even though its a fair bit more expensive than other fluids it was well worth the purchase price. My shifts are smooth again and the trans has quieted down. I’m a happy customer.

Helped my np242j shift smoothly for a long time, deals with the heat that seems to fry other atf in my jeeps transfer case.
