Best Thing EVER!!!!! adds tons of space when hanging on the boat for the weekend or even the day. I had 4 topless Women sunbathing last weekend and now I have a strange tan line on one of my legs that looks like an eggplant.

We purchased this item to use as a floating dock type device.
It got it’s first real test on the July 4th holiday as we hosted a party at our house with lots of small kids on it most of the day. These children ranged in age from a 13 yr girl and the rest were all 8 yrs old and younger, and majority of them were girls. After just one day of use one of the handles ripped and an air bubble appeared under the skin of the raft. I was quite shocked that it showed this much wear after one day of, I’ll admit, heavy use. Kids were on it all day.
We inflated to the minimum of what the directions said because it was extremely tedious to get it even to that point of pressure. It is not soft at all, very firm. Held 6-7 kids at a time without sinking or bowing. Adults can also sit and stand without sinking at all.

Same exact quality of the Bote platform at almost half the cost. Very high quality material with lots of tie off points built into it. We use ours off the back of our sportfisher when hanging out at our local island and it’s a must have. Only recommendation is to purchase an electric pump to inflate and deflate the dock. The hand pump that comes with it will take you hours to fill it and you’ll be exhausted when it’s full. I highly recommend this floating dock

We have been using the Retrospec Dock for about 3 weeks now and the kids love it. It seems like solid construction and it can hold full size adults with ease.
A few quirks:
1) When filling it, the dock feels solid even when there isn’t readable pressure in it. We initially thought the gauge that comes on the included pump was broken, but the reason it didn’t register any pressure was that there was maybe only a pound or two in the dock. Getting it up to the recommended 10-12 psi takes a LOT of air. We purchased a schrader valve adapter(Acouto SUP pump adaptor) for about $8 on Amazon and used a digital inflator with our compressor to get the dock up to 10PSI. It took a quite a while.
2) As you can see on the picture, the grippy covering can develop bubbles when it gets heated up by the sun. We contacted Retrospec and they said this is normal and to just use a pin to pop the textured material (NOT the air bladder itself) and push the material back down to adhere to the air bladder. We have done this on about 8 different spots and it works fine. The dock doesn’t seem to be producing any more bubbles now.
3) There is a slight shade mismatch on the two separate sheets of grip used to cover the top. It is noticeable in the sunlight but not a big deal. Just something to note.
Overall, our 10×10 Retrospec dock seems like a good value (compared to some of the similar competitors brands) and we are happy with it so far. I will update this review should anything of note come up. Cheers!

Apparently this is not designed to be left out over night. It is day use only. I left this in the water for a month and it fell apart and sprouted little leaks all over the raft within 2 weeks of it being out there. If you use it for the day and then wash it and deflate it every day, I am sure it would be fine, but DO NOT leave it in the water for extended periods of time. I contacted the company and they told me it is day use only. It would be a ton of work to deflate, wash and then re-inflate this thing every day. I had the 10×10 and its quite large and heavy to be dealing with on a daily basis.

I’ve had the 7×7 dock out only four times so far but it seems well made and stands up well to the dogs being on it. I ordered a 12v inflatable SUP pump to inflate it with at the same time. No regrets.👍🏼

The seams look good, no folds in the welds. I have some professional experience with inflatables (SUPs & whitewater rafts). I would say the construction is on par with other better known companies.
It’s heavy, if you’re planing on using it off a boat I would recommend 2 7×7 rafts. I have the 10×10 and it’s a bear to roll back up after use, or just to get back on the boat.
You’re going to need an electric pump. I tried several SUP specific pumps but they are all finicky. I would recommend an NRS raft inflator ($135) it runs off a 12v vehicle battery (cannot be used when engine is running). If you are concerned with battery life, get a makita or dewalt job site blower and duct tape a SUP fitting to the end. This method plus a few minutes of manual pumping will have you floating in under 10 minutes.
I have never managed to inflated it to the recommend 10psi, but 3-4 psi is plenty ridge for me.
If I encounter any issues I will be sure to update

Seems to be good quality and I had no bubbling as others have mentioned. Would recommend an electric pump. Only had it for 2 months but so far very pleased with it for the money.
