My old RF Punch 500a2 died and I was unable to repair it. I was nervous about going with their Prime line as opposed to Punch but I had nothing to worry about!! This thing overdelivered!!! I drive an F150 SuperCrew with 2 10” subs under my back seat. It’s louder than my old amp and that’s only with the Punch Bass and again halfway up. You will not regret purchasing this amp. RF is #1

Perfect amp for pushing my new set up. The angled connections were a bit of a pain but provided a clean look when complete.

I took about a year to write this review because I really wanted to get a feel for the product before I said anything about it.
I don’t have anything negative to say about this amp. I’m not running a competition system by any means but it power my JL 12″ sub very very well. With all the adjustment options that it has. The signal sent to the sub is very very clean.
The sound itself is very crisp and precise. Theres no distortion whatsoever. The sub that I’m running has an optimal rms of 300 watts, which is right on the sweet spot for this amplifier.
As long as it’s tuned properly and with a sub that’s within it’s optimal range, this amplifier is absolutely fantastic.

Solid, quality build. Rockford always underrates their amps. Advertised as 500 but comes with “birth” certificate that has all the actual output numbers. Mine comes in at 663. Which I expected, which is why I had ordered the 600 RMS sub to pair it with. As far as I’m concerned it was the perfect choice for me. It doesn’t disappoint in the least.

I just replace the old version R500X1D but never had a RLC….
To Prime R2 500X1 but this one has apparently whenever I plug the RLC amp stays on with no problem but when I turn up the gain or punch eq or bass knob no bass and no sound…if unplug the RJ12 with RLC TURN OFF THE TRUCK set the gai up to test everything works….that’s the only issue…

Excelente producto! Calidad garantizada. Obtienes lo que pagas. Primer proyecto DIY. En uso por tres semanas con un subwoofer P3-D410 500WRMS en caja sellada. High signal con auto remote on. Los ajustes de ganancia con CLEAN IN/OUT muy sencillo ademas de sus debidos ajustes de Punch EQ y filtros otorgan muchas capacidades. Quiza debi ir con un woofer mas grande…

This amp has handled everything I’ve thrown at it. I ran it at a 1 ohm load for a couple months and it didn’t blow up, however it’s not recommended to run it at that impedance. Clipping indicator is a great way to set the gain, never seemed to get very hot. My only small complaint is the angled power and speaker connectors can make it difficult to use certain wiring adapters and affect mounting options.
