I have been playing GTA since the first computer game version. I would personally say by far GTA San Andreas is #1 on my top 3 favorite game charts. This is the game that built the foundations for GTA V, GTA IV, red dead redemption, and other open world games. Yes this game was made back around 2004. It is indeed 12 years old. BUT with that in mind I must add that the graphics on the PS3 are way more better in detail and contrast/brightness compared to ps2, and ps4.
Only one issue I had for 30 seconds was the controls, they weren’t quite the same as ps2. Well indeed it is updated on a newer console it does use GTA V style controls. YES you can change it to original instead of standard, but some buttons aren’t coded the same as ps2, but with that. The controls and actions remain the same, just different style of doing it.
This game does have trophies, the first trophy you will get is the welcome to los santos one. I think…. I don’t remember but yes it does have trophies.
Is this game fun. Psf. This game isn’t fun, it’s a blast of awesomeness with a side of swift incredibulness. I would recommend this to anyone who plays open world games. The story behind this game is awesome I have restarted this game 25 times. Yes I actually did restart it that many times, that’s just how epic the story mode is. Casinos are in here, clubs, pool, bars, wrestling gyms, boxing gyms, golf courses, girlfriends, and fast awesome cars only found on this game. So when someone asks you on GTA V about the old Hustler, Or elegy. You’ll find out on this piece of work.
Overall this game is a must have. Awesome. Full of action. And does have original packaging, and poster included. Got a question? Just ask. Finally. This game was suppose to be released as a ps3 launch in ’06 and not in October of 2004. The game did fair well in reviews back in the day. I felt the game was chopped and poorly executed because it was released too soon. The game felt like it was suppose to be released for the ps3 as a launch title. I never bothered picking this game up because I had a neighbor who owned it and I definitely remember the game freezing due because the ps2 could not read such a big size disc that was barely able to fit in the game so the frames and everything would run slow (if you remember) now with a remake for the psto got to say “Finally!” so the graphics were rendered to a more colorful texture. Its less blurry than the original. Although the colorful texture doesn’t make it that much better its a very small improvement. Another minor is some songs off radio stations are missing. Its just a very few though Other than that the game is pretty much everything you expected from the ps2. I believe the quality of the game will flair a tiny more with a HD TV. I feel like this gta was meant for the ps3 which is why never bothered playing this game. I can’t say its better than IV or V (since those games are graphically polished along with gameplay but its definitely was the big step up from the prior gta games. Also the codes work. Im not sure why some people are saying the cheat codes don’t work. I have tried them and most of them work.
