I bought this game with the intention of getting to know the storyline before Red Dead Redemption. I wish that I had further reviewed this game and how it plays on the 360. I was sorely dissapointed to find out after it continually locked up on me that it has compatibility issues with the 360. I was able to play the first 11 chapters and that was it. Locks up every time after that and makes the game unplayable. I love the way this game plays and I enjoy the storyline. I do understand failure on my part to do better research about this game working with the 360 shouldn’t necessarily have anything to do with overall score but I believe that it does due to the fact that so many other major titles update when you log onto Xbox live and patch the issues. This game does not have that support and considering it is from a major developer in Rockstar it should. Aside from that the chapters I was able to play were fun and I would recommend this game to anyone who has an older Xbox.

I made a mistake – didn’t check NTSC vs PAL
Didn’t give it a thought, forgot that it was even a thing to have games limited to a region, so used to PC gaming nowadays…
Found out straight away I wouldn’t be able to play the game – unfortunately.
It was my error so didn’t even consider asking to return it – likely cost more in shipping to return than it’s worth overall anyway.
    Pity, but Lesson learned anyway

No problem with trade at all 🙂

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. The price was good, the shipping was quick, the game was brand new and he likes playing it.

Buy up your original XBox games now, while they are in good condition, because when these are gone there won’t be anymore. Pretty soon I am sure Microsoft will come out with another Xbox…720?

Happy Gaming and Happy New Year

A few years ago, I heard about a game…called Red Dead Revolver. I heard about it in a magazine article I read, id say, 2 years ago. It was originally being made by capcom. Later that year I heard it was being cancelled.. At the time when I first heard about the game, I wasn’t to much into the western genre of things. Over the years, I quickly got into westerns. But late 2003, I heard it was being brought back, not by capcom, but by rockstar. Known for such games as manhunt and most widely know, the Grand Theft Auto series. I did research when I heard the news, scavenging for pics, articles, or anything I could find on the internet. When I finally found a pic of the main character (Red Harlow), the first thing I thought of was, Clint Eastwood. And that’s pretty much what you get. So when the game was released, I quickly ran out and bought it, the weekend after its release. I lost this game years ago so to have it again was amazing. The Game came in a new unopened package

This is NOT the game you want if you were introduced to the series by the 360 title Red Dead Redemption.

It is a completely different game, and you get NONE of what made the RD:Redemption so great:

Storyline – HORRIBLE. Depth of character is non-existent. Storyline follows several different characters, but it doesn’ teach you much about them at all, except they have a reason to kill.

Open world exploration – NONE. It’s level for level. Hell, even N64 did WORLDS better in giving you games where you can just explore. In Redemption, this was probably one of the BEST features. You WERE IN the old west. Not in this game. It’s completely linear, set up level by level. Going into the Sheriff’s office takes you to the next 5 minute long level. Each area has nothing to explore. Even the original Mario ONE provided more to explore with their secret pipes. The main town in this game has a total of maybe 15 buildings, half of them “closed.”

Shooting up the bad guys – SOOOO not fun. Everytime you shoot a bad guy, they go into this character animation where they react to the hit. . . . Cool right? NOPE! Once they are in that animation, any additional bullets you shoot their way do not count until they are done with the animation.

If you are (LIKE ME) considering buying this game b/c you have a hunger to satisfy before Red Dead Revolution is eventually announced and released go buy some western movies (I can recommend a few). B/C this game is a huge disappointment. It’s not even a genuine Rockstar game. It was developed by someone else and picked up by R* after they shelved it.

No se pueden poner los subtítulos en español a pesar de que en la edición digital si se puede o eso aparece en la tienda de Xbox, aun así es disfrutable y lo conseguí con manual y en excelentes condiciones
