I actually cancelled and returned this product because it doesn’t fit in my reinforced axle. I believe this is a good product.

So I have KO2 tires 33inch, aftermarket American Racing 17inch wheels. I had no problems what so ever until I installed my 2.5 inch lift. Every pot hole bump road in and around Chicago was an adventure.
I lived with it for about 2 years easy. I finally got sick of it because the roads around me are getting worse and not better. I installed this yesterday and OMG what a pleasure it is to drive my wrangler again.
The instructions suck. I installed this in my driveway without jacking it up. I checked clearance by turning the steering wheel. Took me total about 2 hours getting the old crap off and installing the rough country. I would assemble everything first and then install it makes it a lot easier than piece by piece like the instructions say.
Anyway this is well worth the money.

but I will for this! I’m an amateur Jeeper in Colorado. I’ve been wheeling the rocky mountains for a few years now, so I know what to expect from my rig and how to trouble shoot most problems. I’m not the worlds most knowledgeable mechanic, but I am a civil engineer and can figure most things out fairly well. I’ve been dealing with death wobble for months on a 2015 freedom edition. I have a 4 inch lift with 37 inch tires. Only when driving on the road and on a slight turn to the right or left do I experience death wobble. I’ve gone over everything I’m suppose to with the tie rod, drag link, bearings, sway bar, control arms, track bar, pitman arm…all of it. I’ve always steered clear of steering stabilizers as most of my jeep buddies have always told me that they’re a gimmick. Well, I finally decided to give it a try and went with these bad boys for the reviews and price and let me tell you…the death wobble is gone! I was skeptical but its gone. I’ve tried to recreate death wobble by hitting every crack and pot hole (within reason) I could and it completely corrects itself with the stabilizers. As much as I want it to happen and prove everyone right about steering stabilizers, it wont and I cant. My steering is the most firm its ever been and just feels solid now. The install was fairly easy, the instructions have dark black and white pictures so it can be difficult to see what the words are trying to portray at times but all in all wasn’t too bad. I don’t know what else to say other than I’m a believer now. Shout out to Rough Country for making a reliable and cost effective product!

I hit a pothole and had the death wabble in the right front tire that ripped the Teraflex steering stablizer bracket in half. It was about a year old. I ordered the Tough Country dual stablizer and ball joints. It was easy to install but they shorted me a nut and washer so it took an extra hour to install because I had to borrow a vehicle to go buy a nut and washer. So, check to make sure you have all the little parts before you start.

I was anxious to write a review for anyone that may be “on-the-fence” about buying. I have a 2017 Wrangler 2 dr with a 3″ lift, 33″ x12.50 tires. When I hit any imperfection on the road I would get “bump steer”. The tires would also “seek” any tar strips on the blacktop. It was controllable, but annoying. I bolted this kit on in 35 minutes and purposely took a couple of awful roads nearby. The roads are rife with tar patches, blacktop patches, potholes and a variable surface. (concrete and blacktop combination) My Jeep glides over that mess flawlessly. A few notes regarding the installation. I jacked the Jeep up and put stands under the front axle housing so there would be weight on the shocks. Otherwise, with the axle hanging down you may inadvertently install to stabilizer brackets on the wrong angle. Attach the outer tie-rod brackets all the way to the end of the tie-rod and butt against the adjusting clamp. Adjust this bracket upward a few degrees above horizontal. Same for the center bracket; upward a few degrees. That will give you full travel of the stabilizer shocks. Install the right stabilizer shock first. Then the left. I wish I could give them a 6-star rating. Don’t hesitate to buy.

Wanted a little more support after putting 35’s on the wife’s 2012 JK. Ordered this kit but got 2 driver side tie rod brackets and a damaged U-bolt. I sent them an email and after exchanging some info had new parts on the way the very next day. My only concern with this system is the passenger side bracket is real close to contacting the drag link but didn’t notice any contact on the test drive. Looks like most people have an aftermarket drag link so I’ll look into that when the time comes. The steering is definitely a bit firmer but still easy to turn with one hand.

Helped take out the death wobble on my JKU. Made the steering less sensitive.

I only bought it to avoid death wobble issues due to 37″ tires going out of balance. All my steering and suspension componenets are new and/or tight with no play, yet the tires would induce death wobble. Once balanced the issue dissappeard for a year. Now the tires have worn a bit and the wobble re-appeared. I had the tires re-balanced and all is good but tires can come out of balance off-road or mid-trip somewhere and I was sick of the single stabilizer not being able to prevent the oscillations after hitting some bump just the right way. Looks like a decent product. I do wish the tie rod clamps wrapped around the tie rod more rather than just flat piece of steel and u-bolts. But they do work and were easy enough to install. I had to modify the main bracket as my axle is aftermarket and has a 3″ tube. I also run Synergy trackbar and the driver side stabilizer would hit it on full compression. I relocated it to passenger side and it sits a bit low but it works. For Off-road I can just remove the one stabilizer for more clearance. On stock set up it would look and fit way better and be out of the way. Steering felt a bit more vague at first but nice and tight. After driving it a bit I no longer notice the vagueness. It’s not like JK steering is very “precise” to begin with. The tight, solid feeling in the steering over bumps gives me much more confidence and piece of mind. Stabilizers are made in China so we will see how long the setup lasts.

I had all my steering components replaced. Ball Joints, U-Joints, Steering Stabilizer, still got death wobble at anything over 80km/h. This fixed it and was easy to install after watching a couple YouTube videos.

it was easy to install and even though the bracket for the passenger front shock was bent and the rubber grommets keeps popping out i contact rough country and they were able to send out a replacement right away i love it
