I have quite a few chinas of varying size and design, but this one is my favorite. It has a crisp response and a moderate sustain, without being overbearing typical of larger chinas. The sound compliments crashes and splashes well, and has a nice contrast to bells and rides. It has quickly become an everyday fixture on my kit. I play many genres, from funk rock and reggae, to metal and blues. It works well with them all! You won’t be sorry after picking this one up.

Works great as a short accent cymbal in my setup with larger crash cymbals. Hit it, burst of bright white noise, and it’s gone. Excellent.

I thought this might be a good addition to my setup but was unsure. It is amazing, a trashy burst with short decay. So musical in any setting just blew me away. I purchased the 12”.

This cymbal is everything you could possibly want in a China crash and more. It’s extremely loud and cutting. You’d think the holes would take away from the sound of the cymbal but they do the exact opposite. This is by far one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon. My only question is why are you still reading this and not buying one of these cymbals?

Great china but it arrived with patina around the the bell and orange scuffs on the outside. Also slightly bent. It’s noticeable so will be returning.

Muy buen plato, su sonido es espectacular, el unico fallo es que viene poco protegido dentro del paquete por el precio que vale.

Love Sabian AA’s – Very musical and they sound great, but what are Sabian thinking with their new logo? Looks like a font straight from a cheesy 1980’s low budget martial arts video. I have been fortunate enough to get all the old logo cymbals so far, apart from this one, and its not good at all (especially when I vowed to myself that I would never buy any of their ‘new logo’ stuff). Sabian should give people the option, new logo or old logo (be interesting to see how many go for their new logo). 2 Stars for a 5 star 8″ splash, let down by their silly new logo styling.

I have been looking for a china cymbal for several years. With no luck. I could not find one that it was not gongy, klangy, or not musical. The Wuhan was the closest one to what I wanted. But it was lacking finesse. This china has it all. Even at a low volume setting, it produces beautiful sounds. You don’t have to only whack it to make it sing. Of course this is a very personal choice, but if you want a short, musical, loud, trashy china, check it out.

I love this cymbal!!! It has a really nice, sharp Chinese “swish” to it! It is super fast and super loud! I will probably pick up the 19″ model as well!

Best sounding Sabian China that I’ve heard. I was reluctant seeing the holes…thought it would have a weird o-zone sound, but sounds exactly like the trashy china I’ve been searching for. To my ears, it’s better than the 19′ Paragon, which I’ll promptly be putting on eBay.
