Cymbals sounds great and are really beautiful, but sadly the top hi-hat came with a very big flea bite that can turn into a crack any moment. I contacted Sabian but they told me I have to deal with Amazon directly, set was even fully sealed on both sides so I guess that came out of the factory with that dent already, anyways, couldn’t manage to get a replacement, sending the whole boxset back is a real pain because of the weight/size and Amazon won’t accept to replace only the top hat alone (totally understandable), that’s why I am rating this product 1 star. Sabian should be more careful when they send out their products and have some certain quality check on a supposedly “top of the line” series like HHX. Also the premium bag is not included as advertised.

I was looking for a more professional sound with which could play different styles of music. After hearing so many brands and models was able to realize that the HHX evolution are the best option.
I like the sound strong and dark of the hihat, the explosiveness of the crash, the power of the ride and the ozone does not have words to describe it … my order arrived in perfect condition and the order arrived complete..i would recommend this seller … is very responsible.
i recommend this set of dishes to all those drummers who want great sound and they want to play several styles of music

The Amazon box arrived with the expected cymbals. They look and sound great – as expected. The only question was that the original Sabian packaging seal was broke which meant the product was intervened (which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5). The Sabian packaging inside the Amazon box had the cymbals in a plastic cover – no bubble wrap or cardboard holders…but then not sure if Sabian includes extra packaging around the cymbals. Detail inspection showed no visible flaws.

Best cymbals I’ve used all my life. I’ve tried Zildjian, Meinl, Paiste, all of em, and NEVER have I (especially consecutively) found the quality and clarity to come close to matching Sabian. I’ve been using mainly their AAX line for a few years, along with some X’s, AA’s, but these Evolution’s are something else. I felt after a while my AAX’s were a bit too thick for how my tastes were adapting, and this is where these Evolution’s do hit the spot. I can’t quite explain it well enough, but they’re just clear, soft, loud, but not too cutting, not tingy but warm. The most incredible series I’ve used so far. They’re perfect metal and rock (just DO NOT go full blast on them, they are THIN cymbals which means you don’t need to put as much energy in to get the full sound – it’s a GOOD thing), or something more toned down and washy.
