My Dell Inspiron 5006 2 in 1 14″ laptop came with 8GB RAM. The added memory worked perfectly once installed. Manufactured by Samsung was half the price of the Dell RAM and the PCB Assembly appeared to be identical to the Dell, which made be believe that Samsung was the supplier for the Dell RAM. The only trouble was taking the back cover off the laptop. It was very difficult to remove and you have to be very careful even though it took quite a bit of pressure popping it off. Putting back on was even more difficult, but possible. You just have to be patient. Also, once installed the computer’s memory usage dropped from 7 GB to 4 GB and runs more efficiently and faster. I highly recommend doubling the memory.

This has been the best thing I’ve added to my laptop. I was a bit sketched out at first about the price of these RAMs considering their quality, but I am honestly surprised. These RAM sticks are excellent. I upgraded my laptop from 8gb to 16gb with these rams. I bought 2 of these because the same RAM sticks have the best compatibility with each other.

Technical stuff: These RAMs are unbuffered 3200mhz, which means they will always run at that speed. No XMP needed. These are Cas Latency 22 and if you keep up with your tech stuff you’ll love these RAMs because they are 1Rx8 modules, which are the better RAM compared to the 1Rx16 RAMs that are coming with newer gaming laptops.

Improvements: These RAMs were the best thing I added to my laptop. My gaming performance has gone up by even 100% in some games, that’s how good they perform. In Sleeping Dogs my 1% lows in the game went from 42fps to 57fps, which means now it runs at a near constant 60fps with everything set to max. Also ran Tomb Raider (2013) at everything set to max with anti aliasing at FXAA and again I’m getting an average of 60fps with the 1% lows even around 56-57 fps which are also very rare for you to even notice. The biggest improvement I’ve seen was in Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered. If you’ve played AC3 Remastered you’d know how notoriously unoptimized that game is, with the biggest performance hit being in Boston. Basically the game runs at almost 60 fps pretty much everywhere but when you go to Boston your framerates dip to 30fps and sometimes even lower. Same with New York but it only goes down to 45-50fps. After adding these RAMs however, even in Boston I’m hitting almost a constant 60fps in this game with almost everything set to high (with only environment quality set to medium). So it would seem that my performance was heavily capped by the 8gb I had before. Also I run A LOT of mods in L4D2, and because of that the game would crash quite often because I didn’t have enough RAM to run all those mods, and so after I added them the crashes stopped altogether. (Note: here are my specs, Acer Nitro 5 (2020) with Ryzen 5 4600H and a GTX 1650 with 4gb VRAM)

All in all these RAMs are a 5 stars for me. Especially at the price it is at now, it’s a no brainer to not buy them now if you’re also looking for a RAM upgrade. They’re even cheaper then when I bought them for $37.99. They’re at $36.99 now.

Now unless something goes wrong say these RAMs fail only after a few months of usage, which should never happen because good RAM almost never go bad if you take care of them, I will keep my rating at 5 stars. If something does go wrong I’m going to lower my rating of the product and also update this review as well.
