This product was amazing for the price. Our old blu-ray player broke and we needed a good one that would get her fast and allow us to still access Netflix and Amazon, etc. It’s so much smaller than our old one which is great and it’s easy to install. I had more trouble with my internet provider and getting the WiFi connected than anything. Spent 35 min on the phone with them and it was their settings. Nothing to do with the player. I would buy this product again if I needed one.

I’ve seen the reviews moaning about no power on light, get over it. I have a Samsung tv and it is amazing the compatibility. My tv remote works everything on the player except eject. When I move to input on my tv to the player HDMI source, the player turns on automatically so I don’t need an indicator light. The setting that improves picture quality with compatible samsung TVs will blow you away. Love it, superb quality for reasonable price. Ever since I purchased my 1st Samsung 4k Wi-Fi tv, I’ve been a Samsung fan. Now I have the player and a Samsung S9 plus

Flawless picture and sound and easy to set up with the home’s WiFi, but only AFTER I discovered why it wouldn’t communicate with the TV. I would have given this unit 5 stars across the board if it hadn’t come with a defective HDMI cable. If I hadn’t thought to try it with a spare cable I had in a drawer, I’d have sent the unit back as defective.

Im not a “techy” person but good at figuring these things out and this couldn’t have been easier. Took about five minutes and we have a lot of complicated junk connected with our TV.
Simple to use and excellent picture.
Love the sleek curve design. Only thing is, why don’t the buttons light up? We don’t have it facing the “viewing area” so it’s only slightly annoying.
Good buy and no problems whatsoever. So far:)

I’m giving this one star to call attention to this review. ( I think most of us read 1 star reviews closer than we do 5 star reviews.) I really like the player, except for a problem which, for me, is a huge one.
I bought this Item to replace a junky refurb that I had bought before. This model was a newer and new model of the same player.
I have many Boxed BD sets of movies and series that are Region Free. I.e., not marked as to region or marked as “0”. I had no problems with them in an almost 10 year old Magnavox. The problems I had with the previous Samsung was with it malfunctioning when changing discs. You could futz around and get them to play…..most of the time.
Understand I have *not* tried to play discs marked for, for example BD Region B, etc, or DVD region 2 and so on.
The only discs it will play are discs that are marked as Region 1.
I haven’t returned it because, while the description didn’t say it *wouldn’t* play these discs, it did not say it *would* either….
I’ll likely gift this to someone who only buys discs at Big Box stores. As I said, i actually liked it. I just can’t use it.

This device sells for a very reasonable price. The good news is you can play dvds and other movies on thumb drives or view photos you may have saved years ago. You can also listen to music CDs.
While there is no light to determine if the DVD is “on or off” , this is a minor concession for the value you get in this player.

I read reviews for tons of BluRay players looking for a good one with WiFi at a decent price point. This one fit the bill, although there were quite a few reviews knocking the WiFi. Well, I agree with them. As a BluRay player, this works great. The picture quality is superb, and it’s easy to use. However, using it for Netflix or other streaming service can be a bit of a pain.
My player is located about 30-40’ from my wireless router with just one interior wall between them. My router is strong enough to send a good signal to my back bedroom (about 60 feet and through 3 walls), so the router is not the issue. When I first connect it to the router, there’s usually no issue, but after powering off the player and then turning it back on later, it usually won’t reconnect to the router. Most of the time, I’ll have to reboot my router and then reconnect the player to it by typing in the password. Once it connects, I usually have no issues streaming, but it can be a real pain if it is having those connection issues, which is often. I have contacted customer service and tried their recommendations to no avail. One of their recommendations was to plug the player in to the router with a network cable! If I wanted to do that, I would have bought a cheaper player without WiFi!
Another minor annoyance is the lack of any kind of power indicator on the front of the player. It makes it difficult to know whether or not it’s turned on. It’s not a big deal, but it seems like something that should be standard.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with it. If the WiFi connection was consistent, then I’d definitely give it 5 stars, but that’s a big issue for something that boasts WiFi capabilities.
