So far it’s awesome. Does a lot more than I thought it would. I’ve had multiple fitness and smart watches. They all seem to have their pros and cons. So what’s this watches pros and cons?
Cons:
– Stair tracking seems a bit off
– Band is chinsy and I can see it falling off (luckily there are lots of replacement bands out there)
– I thought the red plastic looked good in pics but, IRL I think it just looks cheap.
– Battery. Poor. 2 days AT BEST. Otherwise charge it at night. Takes about an hour to charge. so OK.
Pros:
– Step counting is the most precise I’ve ever had. Walking or running on an olympic track the steps were spot on!
– HR. also very accurate. I’ve had some of the best and this is pretty accurate.
– GPS. Great pegged my location the woods within 5 feet or so.
– Water resistant and swim tracking are awesome.
– Although I didn’t think I would like this part.. watch faces. OMG so many to choose from, plus you can make your own pretty easily without knowing how to code.
– I love how big the screen is. I’m done with the typical square or circle on my wrist this is my favorite form factor
I understand a previous reviewer saying this is “surprisingly a mature product”. Very nice and well thought out.

It counts my steps when I am driving….funny. However I still like the product very much. I was cheated by other sellers earlier so I sent a email to this seller with a request to send me a brand new product. I really appreciate the seller as he sent me brand new and sealed box as he said.

Heart rate sensor is extremely flakey. Features are limited compared to other Gear watches and other smart watches. Battery life is better than the other three smart watches I’ve used as I can easily get two days out of it with the screen bright enough to see (not using the “always on” feature, and heart rate automatic settings is middle… ).
My favorite part of this combo is indoor exercises are easier to track without messing with my phone and my least favorite part is it all only works with samsung crap. I used Google’s Fit app and none of the data syncs or works together. I was very disappointed to find out they segregated like that. I’ll not buy another samsung watch because of this move (forced to use the samsung app store for watch faces as well, and for any watch apps… they went 100% exclusive and don’t use the Android Gear store for anything).
I got this with the wireless headphones and they’re a bit difficult as well. The taps don’t register well and it doesn’t feel well to tap the earphone while it’s held in your ear by a bud (the only way it’s held in). It would have been a lot better to give a top/bottom tap than a side tap.

After going through two Garmin Swim watches in the last couple years, I wanted to mix it up. I got the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro because it was a good blend of exactly what I was looking for: swim tracking and fitness/sleep tracking at a reasonable price. However, woefully inadequate swim tracking and the device shutting off randomly caused me to return this item after less than a week of ownership.
For my first swim, I used the Samsung tracking app. The tracker indicated a swim that was 15% less than my actual distance. Needless to say this app was not going to work for me, but I was hopeful that the Speedo On app that came preloaded would work better. My second swim I used the Speedo On app. The good news was that the distance was far more accurate (less than 5% off, but still not as accurate as my Garmin Swim). The bad news was it gave me splits that were a jumbled mess – 1 second rests (when it was merely a flip turn off the wall) interrupting what was a straight swim. Looking through my workout, I couldn’t tell where I actually stopped and where I didn’t, it was worse than not helpful — it was detrimental.
I was willing to chalk it up to beginners error and try to work with the watch a little bit more (though it would have been a lot more effort to get it to work the way I wanted). I did like the other features (the weather, and notifications and syncing was easy with my Samsung phone. However, I started having problems with the watch itself. It shut itself off for 3 hours yesterday morning and I was unable to turn it back on. I put it on the charger (it was at 50%), and I was able to turn it back on after charging. Except it happened again, once before I went to bed, I was able to turn it back on. I turned on the ‘Do Not Disturb’ feature and went to sleep — I woke up and it was off again. The watch was locked so I couldn’t have turned it off in my sleep and the battery level was just under 80% so it wasn’t the battery. This was the final straw. I was willing to give this watch 3 stars if it had worked properly, just not for my swimming. With the watch randomly turning off I have no choice but to give it 1 star. It’s a shame because it had such great potential.

My experience has been quite good. It has pretty much all the same app options as the iPhone version. The thin long face design is very comfortable and not clunky like the iPhone. I haven’t had the battery die but I only wear it from 8a.m. to midnight. The charger works just fine. The buttons will sometimes get bumped if your doing something like Spinning. But I simply wear it against the under side of my wrist and problem solved. It is such a good design and weight that I usually forget I have it on. The band is not hard or rigid and really does fit well. I usually can’t wear that type of band for more than an hr. This one I can wear all day. I use a blood pressure machine for daily readings which also has heart rate, and the watch is usually within a digit. I did put a scratch guard on the face. This thing works great for me. Will just have to see how long it lasts
