£150 stand that holds your expensive tv by 4 pieces of thin metal no bigger or thicker than a 1 pence piece

Bought this to use with a 65″ LG G3 which, despite its premium price, does not come with a pedestal stand, only a wall mounting bracket. LG themselves can provide a pedestal stand separately but reviews suggest it is not very stable and also gives the tv a slight backward lean which I didnt like the look of. Plus the LG stand didnt leave enough room under the TV to place my soundbar. Looked at several alternatives before deciding on this Sanus and can say its the perfect choice ! Holds the tv incredibly securely, easy to assemble , and you can adjust the height of the stand by 8 inches to allow the placement of a soundbar . You can even pivot the tv through a 70 degree radius should you wish. No hesitation in recommending this.

Expensive product but we’ll worth it.This has a 65inch Sony TV attached to it and its solid and stable which is unlike a cheaper product that I had to return that was totaly useless

Product was recommended on many forums as an alternative to wall mounting and OEM parts for large TV’s. Ordered and received item, started assembly and attached to TV. Unfortunately both horizontal brackets have an attached nut that came off and eventually all 4 of these mounting nuts came off. Had to use #10 machine screws and lock nuts to secure TV. For the amount that item is worth, shouldn’t quality match? Also Sanus customer service is no help, sent email and no response after 4 days. Overall it appears to be a good solid product just need better QA checks and just a little more customer service.

The official LG stand was not available for sale yet, so I purchased this stand and I’m very glad I did. The TV is stable on the stand, the cable management works well, and the stand can swivel! I didn’t think the swivel would really be useful, but it works so well that we use it at least weekly. If I was making the decision again with access to the official LG stand, I would still choose this stand over the LG stand. The LG stand would provide for a more minimal look, but I prefer the flexibility of this stand.

The stand seems mostly solid – except for some studs that hold the vertical bracket,
The bracket that mounts to the TV is a questionable design/weld? strength – with a normal screwdriver (not power tool) the stud that the vertical stand screws in ripped right off. One of them snapped off after the screw was installed.
I’m not sure if I received a defective unit with a manufacturing flaw or not, but I’d REALLY make sure that the brackets are all solid before hoisting the TV on the stand. In my case I repaired with some machine screws and lock nuts/washers (as pictured) – more info below.
The rest of the stand seems decent, except the cable management guide is not really able to fit 4 hdmi cables and Ethernet too well. Let alone the power cord with all that, my use case and demand may be a bit extreme though so that isnt the fault of the stand (not many people need 4 chunky HDMI 2.1 cables)

I did repair it with #10/32 flat machine screws, washers, lock nuts. I attached photos of what it looks like. I am guessing that it’s stronger than the original design.
The downside to this is because the nuts stick out further you’re probably limited in the height adjustment options a bit after all the stuff is attached to the vesa mounts. I was able to get it at the height I wanted though so that’s probably a non-issue.

Sanus customer support offered some compensation for the issue, which I appreciate and is likely why people recommend Sanus over cheaper off-brand stands you can find on Amazon.
I’m not sure if the issue is a one-off or applies to all VSTV2 stands, but either way I’m happy since I was able to repair it (I believe to a stronger state than original) – so I’m revising my review to 3 stars.
