The pros: It’s mostly assembled out of the box, the brakes are pretty good, it’s comfortable to ride (other than the seat), it looks good, once it’s adjusted, it shifts and downshifts really good, it’s not too heavy and seems like it will last (but time will tell)

    The cons:

The packaging isn’t the best, the brake rotors could easily be bent if the box is mishandled during shipping. My box was heavily damaged, thankfuly the only thing that got damaged was the bar the pedal screws into was scratches up.

The biggest con: The way it comes adjusted out of the box is pretty bad, I have experience with working on bicycles, but if someone else were buying this bike in the same condition mine came in and didn’t have experience, they would have to bring it to a professional to get it sorted.

The front derailleur was the worst, it was set too low and touching the side of the 3rd gear, that would cause it to not shift at all, I raised it a little, then had to spend around 15 minutes to adjust it until it will shift and downshift into all the gears properly.

One of the front brake pads was very far from the rotor, and the other pad was touching the rotor. Easy to fix, but should have been set at the factory.

The rear derailleur could not downshift into first gear. Also easy to fix, but should not have to.

The seat is not comfortable, it’s very hard. It was also pointing down, which is not a big deal, since I would have probably adjusted it anyways, but would have made more sense if they put it level, since most people would use it that way.

Not a con, but no allen (hex) wrenches are included, I’m not sure what sizes are required, I have a box of them and found the ones required by trial and error, ended up needing 4 different sizes of them. You’ll also need a 15mm wrench for the pedals and a #2 phillips for the front reflector.
My tires were inflated to around 10 PSI, the tires recoment 25 to 40 PSI, so you’ll want a bicycle tire pump or air compressor and a tire pressure gauge.

Some things you might also want to buy: bicycle chain and gear lube (finish line 1 step lubricant for example), a bottle holder and bottle (there’s a mount on the bike, but no holder is provided with it), a better seat.

I have a hard time bike shopping. Being taller with really long legs makes finding a bike that is tall enough, with enough space from the handlebars to clear the knees, semi-challenging. This was a winner.

One of the first things I would recommend is taking it to a bike shop after assembly for a “tune-up”. It won’t cost you much ($15-$20) and they can double check all the things you aren’t an expert in adjusting. I feel like this saved me tons of potential future issues. Also fixed my chain slip issue by adjusting chain tension I assume.

Overall this bike has been good for trail riding and riding around town. I added a rack to the back and carry baskets on either side for longer trail riding storage or shopping around town, works great.

Also upgraded the pedals to these, I don’t like my feet to slip off when it’s wet/muddy: https://amzn.to/45zGnVu

I’ve had the bike around 4 months, have been riding it about twice a week nearly every week at a local park with XC trails.

I thought the bike was pretty good when I bought it. It assembled fairly well. After assembly, I got everything dialed in and was ready to go. I’ve not had any major issues with the bike until this past weekend when I was pedaling uphill and the rear wheel gave way and started rubbing against the frame when I would put any sort of torque on the chain.

I finally got around to looking at it and pulled the rear wheel off this evening and the axel fell right out of the hub (which it should not do). I’m going to have to take it to the bike shop and have it serviced.

Good thing I’ve already ordered another bike and will be selling this one as soon as its been fixed.

Don’t buy from Amazon, watch some youtube videos and buy from another vendor. These bikes are no better than that box store bikes.

Bike had been delivered. Looked good and I was happy. Easy to assembly! However, the front brake cable was wrong wrapped around the frame and the cable touched the wheel while riding! Mistake like that for Schwinn bike!
When I try to adjust it and pass the cable correctly the clamp holding brake level broke!!!
    So I can not bike!
    Do not but this bike!

Ignore all negative reviews, this bicycle is more than great for the price, if you want to do actual mountain biking, then soon you should start thinking on upgrading the shock absorber, and maybe the seat, else this bike will survive more than you think. I dont think you might find a better one for this price. Not heavy in weight, good quality, smooth, and easy to assemble (30 minutes max)

It arrived boxed in perfect shape. I actually installed the front forks backwards and wondered why my toes hit when I turned the front wheel.
I had a mountain bike previously but It had the rear shock…bad. I’m 5’11” and 210 pounds and I expressly wanted a bike without the shock because the shock eats up your power. This bike is nice and rigid and fairly light. My first ride was out my garage 9/10th of a mile all downhill to town, a loop through town and back up.
Its comfortable seems like it will last a while.
The wider 2.25 tires are nice going over uneven surfaces. Looking forward to building up some stamina and hitting some trails.

Great bike light and great looking. Just getting into mtb. Damn good starter. If you’re a casual biker. All you will need. If you want to just ride and cruise I would suggest a new softer seat. This one seems to be a peddle peddle sit a bit seat. If you’re going to be sitting and peddling most of the time. Get a new 1. Besides that. A great bike

The bike looks great. Black and orange colors are very very cool, looks mean. 29″ wheels are huge but very light weight. Took some time to figure out the disc brakes but once I figured out how it works, I was able to reseat (wasn’t mounted correctly when arrived) and adjusted the power and now very assuring braking power. Seat hurt a lot so bought a new seat at Amazon. Bike is very fast at downhill. Worked nice on snow covered uphill but wished for one more low gear. Now I know why 27 speed is better than 24 speed. Even the frame is only 17″ medium, it is big. I’m 6′. With 29″ tires, even 17″ frame feels like a very big bike. Very tall. Broke the chain after 4-5 uses on about 10 mile trail. Called the customer service (very very nice service by Sidney), short waiting, and new chain is on the way, covered by warranty. Can’t wait to go out again because this bike is so good. Bought it from Amazon just before the price increased by about 10% so very happy. 2 months delivery at the time of order but was delivered in 3 week.

Put about 100 miles on this on single track bike trails and some very rough terrain. Lots of fun.. Also jumped it a bit on some small table top jumps. The bike is light and powerful, but wheel base is just too close and I find the fork angle too steep. Makes me feel like I’m prone to going over the handle bars more easily if I get into trouble. They should have just used a 1x or 2x drive train. You’ll never use the largest front gear on the trail. Anyhow, somehow I snapped the rear axle. The rear rim ended up being wonky and unfixable also. I do ride this thing very hard. I’ll probably continue to ride it hard until it is unfixable, then I’ll buy a higher quality bike.

It’s a great bike for the price if you track the price over time. The price fluctuates quite a bit and I was fortunate to pull the trigger when it dropped to $530. At this price point, I don’t think you can find anything similar feature and quality-wise.

    Positives:
    1. Bike is shipped primarily pre-assembled, so the remaining assembly takes around 30 minutes. The manual is somewhat useless and confusing as it walks you through the assembly process from the scratch. Rather than wasting your time reading it, watch a few short YouTube videos if anything isn’t clear
    2. It’s a good quality bike that will gracefully handle some beating. Shimano EZ shifters are great at changing your gears rapidly and precise to help you tackle different types of terrain, mechanical breaks are excellent, 29′ wheels let you build some serious speed and the aluminum frame feels light enough
    3. Lastly, the paint job is sharp. Perhaps, it’s one of the better looking bikes I owned

    Some negatives:
    1. Front suspension is fine but cannot be adjusted.
    2. Optical gear display shifter shows a red line indicating your gear position. The only numbered gears are “1” and “8”, leaving you to guess the gear you’re on if you ride on middle gears. I find it annoying that they didn’t bother with a bit more descriptive indicator.
    3. As mentioned in some other reviews, the seat is NOT comfortable. It’s ok for a casual ride but gets really uncomfortable during more serious and longer trips. Do consider upgrading your seat at some point.
    4. Derailleurs needed some adjustments and brakes too as they were rubbing disks. Not sure if it really counts as negative as some adjustments are expected, but it can take time to figure them out. You may want to take it to the bike shop to save some hassle

    Other observations:
Some people complain about pedals coming off. By looking at their photos I am guessing that they put pedals wrong. Make sure to watch a pedal assembly video before you start if you never had to do it before. It is not as straightforward as it seems.

Foot rubbing front tire at slow speeds l if pedals are parallel to the ground. It never happened on my old 26’er but apparently not something unusual for a close-coupled frame bike like this one. it’s called ‘toe overlap’ and becomes a non-issue as you get used to avoiding it.

IF YOU ENCOUNTER ISSUES WITH THE FRONT WHEEL HITTING YOUR FOOT OR PEDAL, YOU HAVE THE FORKS BACKWARDS!

When I unpacked and assembled this bike, I saw that I was encountering the issue where the front wheel was extremely close and hitting my foot. After a little investigation, I saw that this was because the forks are reversed when shipping. Turn the forks around so the large U bracket is facing forward, and this solves the issue and is how the bike is intended to be assembled as per the manufacturer’s pictures.

Outside of this, I am a big guy, 6’2″ and 330lbs so far this bike holds me up quite well, I am yet to do any major riding, but I wanted to make a note for everyone since I have seen multiple reviews showing that, but no one has posted a how-to correct this. Simple fix when assembled correctly; it’s just not documented by the manufacturer. For the record, I wear a size 14 shoe and have ample space between my foot and the front wheel when turning, simple fix, to poor documentation.
